Love your heart. . .I am a bit overwhelmed today by some personal issues going on in my life. My world isn't really falling apart, but I am overwhelmed.
What I did. . ..
1. I cried
2. I called my mother and talked it all out. :)
3. I reminded myself that this is not the first time I have walked through a valley.
4. I prayed for the strength I needed to get through this. . .
5. I am constantly reminding myself that "this is just for now not forever". I have made it through rougher times that seemed impossible and I will also get through this. I also reminded myself how sweet the taste of victory is when you make it through a difficult time.
6. Now that I have gotten the emotional part out of the way. . .I have refocused on what I CAN DO today about the situation and I am going to take it one day at a time and give it my best until I taste the victory again. =)
~Thanks for the question. . .. sometimes just writing it out makes you feel better. =)

Go to sleep and wake up tomorrow knowing it's a new day. There are only three types of problems we experience in our lives.
1- By far the most common and the easiest to remedy are problems we cause for ourselves. Things like hanging out with trouble causing people, spending more that we can afford, taking stupid risks, disobeying rules and breaking laws, not voting causes idiots to be elected.
2- Problems we don't cause, but can expect and plan for. Buy insurance in case your car gets stolen. Build up some savings and continue your education in case your job is eliminated. Test your smoke detector, you might need it tonight.
3- Very rare are problems we can't expect and can't prevent. So rare that I can't think of any examples. These you accept and move around to get back on course. Rely on family and good friends to help (this demands that you cultivate good friends and maintaining strong bonds with the family)

I often get emotionally drained when faced with problems or obstacles. I get jittery. Then I try to relax and think over what to do. I leave myself open for advices and go over many options. Then, I think very carefully on what best course to take. That's how I treat problems that come my way. And about living life on it's terms, I just accept what life has in store for me. If I can improve on my lot, I do it gradually. It is not often advisable to jump on a decision that comes first to mind. You might say I am somewhat meticulous but, I always make sure I do things properly.

I pray, praise and worship. I reset my focus on God and His power to get me out of my situation, and I do the best I can, prayerfully, to make things better. Sometimes I cry a while and then try to find a way to make things better, again doing so prayerfully. In any case, I remember that I am not alone in my suffering, and He is with me, and He is greater than whatever has me overwhelmed. I thank Him while I'm in the trial, thank Him for bringing me through the trial, and thank Him for the trials to come (as sincerely as I can). Note: I don't do this as often as I should, but I do as often as I can. I have to stay focused on Him because He lights my path.

I realize everyone is doing their best and that I am a victim of predestined circumstance and try to look at it as if I were in heaven and all my troubles were over and how dramatic and humorous it is to me from that place, because life is short, really, and not worth getting too worked up about~! But I too get excited once in a while.

If I thought I was on my own, I would probably blow my brains out. but, I know who is in control of my life, as well as the world I live in. I go to the Rock of My Salvation, I know ever thing will be all right.

Take a deep breath go somewhere (i like parking next to the airport and watch the planes come and go) where you can relax and take a piece of paper and pen with you and list the things you need to do and you need to cope with. Then arrange them into the order of priority. when you've finished you can go knowng that you have a plan and when you've done the first thing on the list then hurray! treat yourself.

That's the time you need to start trusting in God for all things. If he has a lesson to teach you there will be a benefit for standing firm on His word.
If you try to handle things all alone we tend to make the mess bigger. Devine help will straighten out any tangle.
God Bless!

Take a deep breath, realize that we are only on this earth for a short time and pray. Ask Christ for help and live on His terms not your own.
