Sounds like either you are not stretching properly after exercise or there is possibly an electrolyte problem. Most people with these problems have low potassium levels. First of all a multivitamin is good, but many of those minerals don't absorb terribly well as they would with whole food sources. Try eating a banana or avacado when the cramping starts. At the same time you may want to see your doctor and have a few simple cheap tests run to rule out some very troubling serious diseases. Your doctor will also be able to tell you if they are cramps or fasiculations.

It is probably from ill fitting shoes. If her shoes have some what high heel to them, they could be putting stress on the her toes.

If she wears different shoes all the time, then her walk could be putting stress on her toes. In this case she should see a doctor to be fitted with shoes inserts. Most of the time insurance will pay for these.

Could be 2 things, water or potassium. I have the same problem, right now my calf is still sore from a cramp I had on Saturday. I asked the doctor and he said because I exercise regularly it was probably because I wasn't drinking enough water, or my body needed potassium(bananas).

good luck.
