Gavin, you read the Bible 2 times...that's more than some Christians. But all you got out of it was " blood sacrifices?" What about asking yourself "why were blood sacrifices needed?" Just grilling a question, but not truly wanting an answer is of no benefit, meaningless. God is perfectly holy. That means He can not look upon sin. The people in the Old Testament had high priests that were spiritual governors over the people. And "only" the high priest could enter into the tabernacle of the Lord and present blood sacrifice of perfect, spotless lambs before God for the sins of the people. Scripture says that God looked down from heaven and saw that men were so terribly wicked and that there was noone who could save them. So, here is where Jesus comes in. God left heaven, came down to earth, and sacrificed Himself for you and me with a perfect, spotless from sin sacrifice, Jesus Christ. This blood sacrificing God that you seem content to beat up with your words was thinking of you, Gavin, when the blood of that first sacrifical lamb was shed in the Old Testament and He is still thinking about you now. You need to read the Bible a third time ( smiles ).

I'd tell you that many Americans are Christian, so it is apparently ok.

Steve, I don't want to spoil it for you if you are still reading, but most of the New Testament is about an elaborate blood sacrifice.

Really True: A big part of the book of Leviticus is detailed instructions on how to offer blood sacrifices to your god, and on numerous occasions he says (in the OT stories) that the smell of burning flesh is pleasing to him.
You should maybe read that book before you start playing the professor.

The sacrificing of animals to God interior the previous testomony replaced into an act of atoning for the sins of mortals, being imperfect because of the activities in Eden. Atonement is the protecting up of sin, like fantastic a fabric over a nail in a fence positioned up. this is nonetheless there, you in basic terms do no longer see it. Jews have been on the spot to empty the blood, because it belonged to the writer. Blood is the life tension. It belongs to God, because it replaced into given by using Him. we have no claims to it. The blood sacrifice replaced into premier to the laying off of Jesus' blood. for this reason he's named 'The Lamb'. His sacrifice replaced issues. Now, extremely of protecting up the nail, Jesus comes by using and pulls it out. the undertaking is however, there's a hollow left in this is place. Then we fill the hollow with guilt and extra nails. i do no longer think of this replaced into the reason in the back of our training to maintain on with in Christ's footsteps and be holy.

There is only one blood sacrrifice the sacrifice of animals were shadows of the atonement. Moses and Abrham explained it in the word of God when Abraham said the lord will provide himself a lamb. God said the day you eat of that tree you will surely die. The blood of a creature is the life of the creature and it was god's plan before the creation fo teh world ot shed hsi blood and be a savior to his people. The lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. I would say you have yourself a righteous and merciful God.

I thank Jesus everyday for dying on that cross for me, and yes, for even you! If it wasn't for His sacrifice (which ended all sacrifices) we wouldn't have a way to Heaven.
Through the first man, Adam, came death. It was man who sinned, and fell short of the glory of God. God is Holy, and cannot let sin into Heaven. By the Second Adam (Jesus Christ) came eternal life through His precious blood. Nothing is more powerful than the blood of Jesus Christ. Nothing. But, here's the other good news. There will be no more sacrifices, and JESUS WAS RESURRECTED, AND IS ALIVE, AND SITS AT HIS FATHER'S RIGHT HAND. HE WILL JUDGE EVERYONE IN THE END, YES, EVEN YOU. EVERY KNEE WILL BOW TO HIM, WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT. IF YOU ACCEPT HIM NOW, YOU WILL LIVE AN ETERNAL LIFE WITH HIM. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL BE THROWN INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE WITH SATAN AND ALL HIS FOLLOWERS. THERE'S ONLY 2 WAYS TO CHOOSE. RIGHT AND WRONG. BLACK AND WHITE. NO GRAY. NO IN-BETWEEN. CHOOSE JESUS AND CHOOSE LIFE!!

If that is your belief then who am I to judge, there are several religions out there that still slay animals as a sacrifice to offer to their God, in the Christian belief, Jesus was the last human sacrifice made to the Biblical God, not counting any of his followers who were rounded up and tortured and killed for their beliefs and made willing sacrifices of themselves for Jesus.

Where have you been? He was quite clear if you bothered to ever read the Prophets
Writings, that He does not want your burnt animals; he doesn't want your stinky incense, and He doesn't want your repetitive masses or hymns; what He wants
is your Love and respect; just as any father
wants. You have no knowledge and that
will be your destruction; I strongly suggest you get some: the day is winding down.

The same thing as I'd think at any other time.... completely unrelated to anything you did or said. I'd most likely be completely ignoring you, because you are irrelevant.

On the other hand, if you told me that I needed to worship your god or I would be punished for all eternity..... I would punch your lights out.

I'd know you weren't really following God since Jesus gave His blood to cleanse us all. You probably believe in allah since it still calls for sacrifices and bloodshed.

God Bless.

I would ask by what method the blood sacrafice had to be obtianed, and what kind of blood was needed

If it was human blood,

Then I would ask if you were willing to volenteer your self or a family memeber,

If not,

I would suggest you find another religion as your personal dedication to your faith is now questionable :)
