cheapest way to do New York?

from the uk to new york, next summer and do all the sites and see a show. I am on a limited budget. thanks inadvance.

It's impossible to see the city in less than a week. Two weeks would be better. Once you get to your hotel in New York have the hotel arrange for your tours, Broadway shows, night entertainment, etc.

Ride the elevated subway trains. There are still some in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Just look out the subway window and see the huge sprawl which in NYC, 8.4 million people.
