If you use earphones on a daily, and constant, basis, they will damage your hearing. You'll never notice the hearing loss, until someone complains about the TV and radio being to loud, when you can barely here it. You'll also find that you will be saying "What?" quite a bit. Keep your use to a moderate basis, and it may not impair your hearing as badly. My source is my audiologist.

Yes it can....
It will increase the amount of bacterias in your ears
One hour of continuous listening to music, speech or whatever.. the amount of bacteria in your ears will be doubled...

Reason:
The ear consists of delicate tissues which will adjust itself to the normal room temperature and vibrations.
When you attack you earphone, temperature will rise (a very few degrees more) which will damage cells in it. The sound waves created in ur earphone will be much-much high compared to room vibrations.

This will result your ears to be damaged
