I was just wondering about all the people who answer questions here, do you live in Thailand, visit frequently or have you never been to Thailand?

Sadly I can only live in thailand half time, mores the pity.I just don't raise enough money to live here full time so have to go back to england to build my funds back up.I was on track to semi-retire here but bought a rather large house which put me back 4 or 5 years.........no regrets though. We live in Suratthanni in the south, not far from Koh Samui

you may spend your finished existence asking why! Why not holiday to different international places? The Philippines has thrilling issues to verify. Thais visit Laos, Malaysia and Cambodia fantastically usually. do not Germans visit Switzerland and Austria? do not Brits visit eire and Scotland? Why might it is so strange for a Thai guy or woman visit the Philippines? I quite have lived in the Philippines myself for a little while. despite if I want Thailand I nonetheless visit the Philippines each and every now and then. I quite have acquaintances in the Philippines. could not Thais have acquaintances and kin in the Philippines?

It should be a relevant question (albeit a personal one), but to be honest, most of the (other) questions asked under TRAVEL THAILAND can be answered without any prior exposure to Thailand because

1. they have already been asked and answered before in YA
2. they can easily be answered after a qucik web search

I was once a tourist but now I live in Bangkok and am loving it very much. I can live like a king for very little. Always something to do---or nothing. Great inexpensive restaraunts and getting around is easy. I wouldn't own a car here, don't need to.

My mom is Thai and my dad is from the Czech Republic. I go there every couple years, to visit my grandparents. It's wonderful.
