If you are in service to others , you don't have much time to think about yourself . There is no security in this world except in your faith . You can only be content in knowing that you are doing the right things with your life . Peace of mind also will only come when you are satisfied that you are doing all you can to help others . Your restlessness comes from the fact that you have gifts that you aren't using . Open your eyes to those around you who may need your help .I'm sure that will get you through this spiritual growing spurt that you are going through right now .

My dear friend, some people are just that way. My mother loves the Lord dearly but still she worries and frets about stuff beyond her control. The Lord does not want us to worry about anything - I think you know that.
Are you spending enough time in His presence? Reading the Word of God will also renew your mind.
I find that if I take the time to be with Him, He gives me a peace beyond understanding.
Quite recently, my domestic worker arrived at my home and told me she had lost the key I had given her to get in. The situation in SA being what it is (lots of crime), I became worried that someone had stolen it from her and would be able to get into our home. That night, I became very very worried that my son and I would be sleeping and someone would be able to simply walk in and do us harm, so I prayed and gave it to the Lord. I laid the Bible open at the door, plead my home under the blood of Jesus and immediately I felt a peace that was beyond understanding, and I was able to sleep beautifully.
God gives peace, but we need to spend time with Him.
May our Lord Jesus take you by the hand and help you.

You can't. The closest you can come to being content and free from worry is to be a potted plant.
Life is for experiencing things. It is good to bond with friends and work towards goals and just experience life as fully as possible. That means you introduce risk into your life and don't just settle into a content little rut.
God hasn't given you anything. Give yourself and those around you some credit here. God is just a superstition.
Everybody has things they worry about. You just have to pick which things are valuable to you and worry about that. I suggest valuing things that are real, that would really benefit from you caring about them and valuing them. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, this is normal. I myself lacked a lot of peace and I lack peace no more. I recommend reading the bible and pray openly with god about your concerns. Confess your sins and pray for peace. I highly recommend PRAY FOR PEACE, IT WORKS.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU.
Best Wishes.

To be truly content and at peace you need to abandon your false crutch of god belief and obtain the true happiness which comes with recognizing the world as it really is.

It is very commendable that you believe in God and pray. That is excellent. But there is more that needs to be done. Following God's Word is important for happiness and feeling security. Leviticus 25:18 says: "So you must carry out my statutes and you should keep my judicial decisions and you must carry them out. Then you will certainly dwell on the land in security." (See also: Matthew 6:33;34)
Plus having complete trust in God helps you to feel a good sense of security. Proverbs 3:3-8 says: Â "May loving-kindness and trueness themselves not leave you. Tie them about your throat. Write them upon the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and good insight in the eyes of God and of earthling man. Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. Â In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight. Do not become wise in your own eyes. Fear Jehovah and turn away from bad. May it become a healing to your navel and a refreshment to your bones."
This is a very insecure world we live in, anything can happen at any moment, but having trust in God, helps us to endure, and knowing he is with us every step of the way gives us courage to endure. Isaiah 41:10 assures those who love God and do their best to serve him: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness.’."
Interestingly, since ancient Bible times, God has always had his people serve him together and congregated them. In the Israelites days and in the days of the early Christians. His Word even says at Hebrews 10:24,25: "And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near."
So gathering for worship is pleasing to God and important. It just needs to be worshipping him in the right way and with people who actually do God's Will. Many religions do not worship God in the right way. It is important to find the correct one, the one that really follows God's Word and does his Will. That will help you be content.
