I am a Christian and my religion teaches that only trough Jesus you will get spared damnation. I really do not like this idea of people of other faith to be tortured in eternal hell. That is terrible and it is not fair. I like some things of my religion but this to be forced to accept Jesus or burn in hell, I really do not like it. Many Christians have told me that I should not question GOD,just because I do not like it it does not make it go away.

I want to do the right thing, please help me here , I am scared that becasue I have doubts in my religion God will torture me.

in the jewish religion that christianty was supose to be based off of there is no hell. also jesus never talked about hell. that was made up by the vatican to scare people into going to church, and following vatican law. god wants you to live your life to the fullest and not worry about the after life. he just wants you to be the best person you can be. if god loves his children he would not hurt them.

Why not let me talk you out of your religion? I'm really smart, honest, I am. Plus I've thought it all through.
I suppose I would start by walking you through evolution. If you would spare a moment of your time, I could prove it to you beyond the shadow of a doubt. Then, without inerrancy of the bible, I would ask you what the root of your belief was.
You've already hit upon a wonderful reason why Christianity must be false; a perfect god would not punish people for failing a very difficult test. (Difficult because the "right" answer in Christian belief is completely absurd)
There are many other common sense arguments against.
Don't worry! You're going to be okay. When you die, you die. There is nothing more. In many ways, that sucks, but in some ways, it's kinda okay.

Look at it this way. On a global scale, only some 33% of humanity follows the christian faiths. Others follow other faiths or indeed no faith at all.
Bottom line: your god condemns 66% of humanity to hell.
Does that sound reasonable? I don't believe in your god but even if I thought he was real I would not follow such a monster.

It is disturbing to me that so many people, including Christians, see Christianity as a way to avoid hell or get to heaven.
But the Christian idea is that we ought to seek a fellowship or communion in love with the God who created us and loves us.
The reward of seeking God is to find God and know God and to have our joy in our relationship with God. Heaven is just a place where that can happen. Hell is just a place for those who reject God.
I don't think we know what happens to those who have never heard of Christ or to those who have come to honest disbelief.
Belief means "holding as true". We seek God because we want to find God and if we want to find God, we have to "hold as true"/believe that God exists. It is not a matter of having doubts as to whether He exists. You live your life in faith that He exists but you can still have doubts (and will have doubts).

read the gospel, forget about all that nasty revelation of John stuff. All God asks is that you love your neighbour. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Calling yourself a christian or not has nothing to do with it. Don't worry about other people, just love them. The whole faith thing has nothing to do with the gospel. That's just Paul getting his groove on. To love and forgive Paul may be the hardest thing anyone ever has to do. But we know God through love and love through God, because God is love. As long as you have hate in your heart you're not a christian. Gandhi said "I like your Christ but I don't like your christians. Your christians are so unlike your Christ." I would have to agree on that. Calling yourself a christian is easy. Being a christian is hard.

I didn't say you shouldn't question God. Just because you have doubts won't send you to hell. I have doubts from time to time.
Here's a tidbit of spiritual fun for you: GOD LOVES YOU! The almighty creator of Heaven and Earth wants you to have a great life now and a better one when you die. Better yet, if you were the only human being in all of history who needed Jesus to save you, Christ would've still been born and crucified on a cross for your salvation.
One last note - if you have truely trusted Jesus to be your salvation, rest in that and don't fret about hell because you won't be going there.

You were lied to. The Bible itself tells you to question EVERYTHING. "test the spirits"... it doesn't say "well, except God." (btw, testing and tempting aren't the same in the context of the Bible).
