a man is living in the 15th floor of a building, he is working at the ground floor of the same building, every morning he rides the elevator going down to the ground floor, but every time that he is going home, he still rides the elevator but he steps out when he is already in the 9th floor, and he is doing it everyday even though he don't want to take the stairs from the 9th floor to the 15th floor but he is forced to do it. the question is why do you think he is doing that?

is it one of those new elevators that has more than one box per shaft? is there a restricted access floor?, is it the same elevator or is it a different one that only goes that high and the other only takes passengers down? does he have to clock out at that floor and then can't catch an elevator up for some reason? does someone too big get on at the ninth floor and if he stayed it would trip the weight limit indicator? does he need to be in good physical condition to do his job? is he lying to someone about where he lives? is it part of his job to clean the stairs between those floors? is there an energy regulation for the time he gets off of work at so he can't take the elevater farther than 9 floors? does he deliver something? does he have to wash in a public bath (due to lack of private bathing in his appartment?) in a facility on that floor (which i admit doesn't make much sense because he'll get sweaty and dirty on the climb)? do you actually know the answere or are you trying to figure it out with us, and is it real or is it a pure riddle?

well, his name is steve and he is my good friend, i know who you are talking about. he does this because his mom lives on the 9th floor. every morning he has to go to his moms apartment and change into his 'master splinter' outfit and climb the cieling.

in the cieling is a large hole, the hole leads up to the ventilation shaft and from there he goes up. he reaches the 15th floor and shimmies across to his heating duct. he climbs in and kicks the vent cover off, revealing his apartment.

he does this because he is practicing to become a ninja turtle and wants to become a master of the invisible, so he purposely locks his keys in his apartment so he can get in secretly. the real question should be, 'what is the square root of steve's apartment??' the answer to that is 'four baby apartments' -the end

He's in love with someone on the 9th floor and therefore wants to walk by everyday just to see them even if they don't know that he likes them.
