yep. ive done it. water fasts slow down your matabolism. and you don't lose any fat, you lose muscle. but if you DO go on any kind of fast, you're not supposed to work out. fasting is just a starving detox. they have HEALTHY detox's that helps u lose 1lb a day..but here's some fasts that you can do. and this site is REALLY easy to read and to navigate... so you don't have to spend like an hour clicking on things. it's just one page. (sorry, i couldnt find the other ones with the different fasts and what each one does. but this one will work just as good.)

edit: all fasts take at least one WEEK to work. after a week, it's BEST to stop. I'm going to go on a 5 day detox..just to clear my digestive system so it can be invigorated. Also, if u eat a lot, after the week of fasting, you wont be as hungry. you'll only wan to eat about 1,200-1,500 cals per day. u feel fuller faster. hope this helped!

No.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Thats the dummest thing you could ever do.
For fat loss purposes, it is important to remind yourself that thirst is a much weaker stimuli than hunger. If you consistantly feel hungry after meals, don't immediately think that you need to eat more. You may simply be thirsty!
Needless to say there are many benefits of water. 69% of your body is made of it!
We can exist without food for months, but without water we can only survive for a few days. Your body is made up mostly of water, which:

Is essential for digestion, nutrient absorption and elimination
Aids circulation
Helps control the body's temperature
Lubricates and cushions joints
Keeps the skin healthy
Helps remove toxins from your body
Every day you lose water from the body through urine and sweat, and this fluid needs to be replenished. However, your body has come equipped with a mechanism that tells you when you need to replenish your supply--it’s called thirst!

Drinking water is good for you. It will not make you fat, if you drink 8 glasses a day or even 15. Just dont drink too much more than that.

I don't think it's possible, I once did using diet sodas, fruit tea, and like 20 cals of food every other day - even then it was near impossible. I ended up in hospital thanks to the binge/purge cycle (if you're considering this fast I assume you're fammiliar with that). The truth is, fasting makes you fat. Sure you lose lbs fast - (mostly you're losing water weight though) but your body in starvation mode, which it will be after just 3 days, makes you binge. That's the human body. You will binge after 3, 4, a week, even 2 weeks if you go that long. You will. Binging makes you gain weight. That's the truth. You will gain weight if you fast.

Go on a diet where you can eat whole foods, cereal, fruit and vege. You will lose weight (real weight) and keep it off. I'm living proof. x

This is not the way to go - find something less dangerous. If you want to lose weight or de-tox check with your doctor first. I know that's not what you want to hear, but a water fast will kill you!
