They do, but depending on how the piercing was done, you will most likely end up with a scar. Just make sure to use something like vitamin e oil and shea butter on the area if you would like to lessen the "scar effect" :)

usually the term healed with belly button piercings is used for when the piercing is brand new and it wont as easily be infected. usually a piercing is healed when you've kept the jewelry in for a specified amount of time then it's no longer scabbing or hurting as bad and you dont have to clean it as often.so if your piercing is healing while having the jewelry in, it would not close.

the word healed can also mean after you take the jewelry out, the piercing hole closing means there is no longer a hole, so it is healed. usually after you take out a healed belly button ring, which means you had it in for about 2 months without any infections, it takes quite a bit of time to close up depending on each individual and what gauge you had it and how long you had the piercing for.

nope, i have a belly button piercing and i have had it for alittle over 4 yrs and i haven't had a ring in for the past 2 and its still a hole there, so they stay along time

Maybe my body is weird but I took my ring out over 5 years ago and I can still put the ring back in.

Yes definately,one of my nipple piercings grew over,overnight once.

Mine still has half a hole and it was taken out before Christmas...but then i did go wrong....and several times!!!

yes they do... you may end up with a tiny scar but they will close up
