OK. To chilled cooked macaroni and cooked shredded chicken, mayonnaise, radish, carrot (shredded), Cheddar cheese(shredded), olives, salt and pepper to taste. Also you could add some chopped celery. Let this chill in the fridge for 1 hr before serving. Doing that will help all the flavors combine.

I've never made macaroni salad but I tell you what, bacon sure goes great with macaroni and cheese. So if it's a creamy macaroni salad, bacon (small pieces) is a good idea. If, however, it's a more Italian style pasta salad, I'd say crispy vegetables such as bell pepper and peas.

How about some Shrimp
Left over fried chicken

add some spice .. jalapenios ... habaneros

Some sweet ... a a few cut pears or apples or grapes halfs

add all the above and play with your tastes

greens, if yr a veggie, lettuce, cabbage, beans peppers, tomatoes, anything will do if yr non veg, smoked cold meats from the deli, u could use fish like salmon, smoked chicken or turkey, or any other slivers of meat, decorate the salad well to make it more attractive using mint leaves or any other herbs

OK I'm going to answer this with a serious answer,.......I don't even every do this (respond too BLOGs)try a small amount of Horseradish - use what you would find for sandwiches (creamy).My mother would use paprika on hers......I never could taste it but it made for a nice dick-oration.
