I was online when a sign popped up ,offering to upgrade my current version of Adobe Professional 8. I clicked ok and was in the middle of the process when something happened and the program shut down. Now I cant open PDF files. My adobe reader doesnt work(other adobe applications seem to work though). I tried downloading a new one from the company website but halfway through the download, a message always pops up, saying the runtime script ended /they had to terminate the process or something. What's going on?Will it help if i buy an installation cd?

1. First I would roll back to before the install using the internal system retore point.

2. If above fails, uninstall both Acrobat and Reader if possible, then reboot and install.

I recommend Foxit Reader,
it reads PDF files faster and without problems like Adobe Reader.
