Actually Islam is a "spin-off" from Christianity, considering they believe Abraham, Noah and the other prophets. Except they don't accept Jesus as the Son of God and they added some of their own doctrines and deleted some from the original.

Islam copied from Judaism. The Jewish god does not have a son. Muslims only accept Jesus as a prophet. Muslims rejected the idea of a god dying for the sin of humans. A god can not die anyway.
Why can't Christians accept Allah as the same as the Christian god, while they accept the Jewish god? The Jewish god does not have a son either.

There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah alone. The Christians ascribe partners to Allah (i.e. Trinity, or saying Jesus is the son of Allah.), which they have not been commanded to do by Allah. Allah is the God of Abraham, Jesus, Moses, Muhammad and all of the prophets (peace be upon them). The only difference is that Christians have taken Allah and labeled him "The Father" and ascribed partners to him. Allah knows best. Jesus was a noble Prophet of Allah, nothing more, nothing less.
