ALL NEW TVS are HD....all recieve high definition and show high definition....
LCD is a Display TYPE....you can get Liquid Crystal on a large TV, just like your Laptop computer screen.
Or you can get LCD Projection...those have the Bulb that goes out every 3 years and cost $250 to $300 to replace.
DLPs are better than LCD Projection....I just saw my FIRST LCD with an MSNBC screen burn on it last month....DLPs don't burn and reflect more light...
Plasmas......Plasmas BURN.....oh and they SUCK too, they make a constant sucking sound when plugged in, and don't even bring a wallet near it....a LCD panel is better in comparison...

An LCD is a type of television. HDTV is the compatibility with High Definition TeleVision. So if you buy a LCD HDTV you can subscribe to HDTV through a satallite or cable company.

LCD is one display technology to give you an HDTV image. LCD means Liquid Crystal Display. There are DLP & Plasma diplay technologies akso. So, an HDTV is a TV that will display an HD image using one of those three display methods. My pick is LCD, Sony 42" HDTV,Bravia.

Some LCD's are HD, some aren't but most are now. It is possible to have LCD TV that isn't HD compatible.
LCD is the type of screen ie Liquid crystal display (advanced from digital watches and calculators etc.) , HD is high definition.

HDTV is if the tv in general supports high definition media which you can get from HD DVD's, BLU- RAY, and HD CHANNELS.
