Cooperate with one another in righteousness and piety, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression. Have fear of Allah. (Holy Quran:5:2)

Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant. (HQ:7:199)

I think this is generally a good rule for people. However, I think that you have to be honest about what you don't agree on. If we're going to discuss acceptance, that has to be based upon full knowledge and honest disclosure. If you can love and work with someone even when you know what's going on inside of them, only then have you earned the right to be called their brother or sister.

I agree with what you have said.Of course there are huge differences between Shia and Sunna , but they are not worthy killing each other for. As long as you witness that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet, you are a Muslim. After that you can say that you are a Shia or a Sunni. You are free to follow what you believe is right as long as you do not harm anyone.

I very much agree :o)
Yet I have a little addition... I add "support" next to "cooperate"

Cooperate and SUPPORT on what we agree upon, and pardon each others on what we don't agree upon

It is absolutely true. This does not only apply to Muslims, it applies to all. If my beliefs and religion allow me to do something which I am aware of, and someone else also agrees (no matter what religion they are) then I can cooperate with him/her to reach a certain goal. For example, if I was a doctor & was trying to find a cure for let's say cancer, I would be ready to put my hand with any other doctor (MUslim, Christian, Jew, Hindu .... etc) to reach my goal. BUT, if I did not agree with someone (whether a Muslim or not) on anything, then I would not deal with him, at the same time I will not attack him or try to prove that he/she is wrong just because there was a disagreement, because that is not a characteristic of a true Muslim.

Of course. This is the approach Islam suggested to adopt even with people of the Book, to come to common ground. And for the Muslims additionally to hold on fast to "hab lim minallah" i.e. Quran. I guess if we concentrate on Quran first then we can all get together pretty easily. Because Quran is unchanged and the same for every Muslim.
