I've read so much about Islam and I think it is a beautiful religion that is corrupted and misinterpreted by the Arab world. Now, If Islam was given to the western world or western civilization would Islam be serving its true identity and meaning.

Islam is not send only to Arabs,it was send to all mankind. The last Prophet of God was an Arab(decsent of Ishmael ,son of Abraham)
TheQuran "And We(Allah) have not sent you(Muhammad) except as a mercy to all mankind." (The Prophets 21:107)

Prophet Muhammad said in his farewell sermon,"An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action".

Islam is truly an international religion, and it does not consider Arabs better "Islamically" from any other nation or ethnicity. Since the beginning of the Islamic era so many non-Arabs have contributed widely in the spread of both the Islamic religion and and Islamic civilization. I don't find it odd at all that one day the west or even the far east or any other nation will hold the torch of Islam, adopt it and spread the word of it. Indeed I personally think that if westerners were given the real change of understanding Islam correctly they will like it, and who knows? they might be the leaders of the rest of the world to the true peace and freedom that islam calls to ( and DID achieve it for long centuries)

They were NOT fighting for Islam nor representing MUSLIMS. The so called "Islamic extremists" or terrorists were NOTHING more than self interest individuals who thought they could get their dirty businesses through using Islam and bring other innocent Muslims with them to fight. A real Muslim fighting in Jihad WOULD NOT run away. If this was a real Jihad for Allah's cause, believe me they WOULD'VE NOT RAN from the battle field to start with. If they ran a way, BINGO!. That clearly tells you FEAR was in their heart and not ALLAH and the good cause to fight. History DOES NOT LIE, always smaller number of Muslim armies USED TO DEFEAT the crusader forces. Salahudeen (Saladin) Ayubi was a good example. The guy NEVER fled the battle ground like Bin Laden did. Instead, the played politics and force together to regain Jerusalem. When Muslims see the need for a genuine Jihad, they know what their duties are. No it is not a suicide bombing. It is hand to hand battle, if not face to face, if not diplomatic war and so on. The Muslim world is trying to live like everybody else and WANT to get rid of the so called "Muslim extremists", they are bunch of cowards, misrepresenting Islam and the Muslims. Look what they have done to Afghanistan, look what they are currently doing in Somalia, can't even let a transitional government get through. Who cares if the transitional government is a puppet of the West, at least there will be authority you will be able to challenge and change if it doesn't work for everybody. Simple. Give peace a chance.

Everything is within God's purpose. Although my mind thinks like yours on this issue, we must realize that the Quran was given to the Arabs initially for a reason. That is not to say that it is not our turn as Westerners to pick up the torch and spread it to our people. Subhanallah, Allah has made us into many tribes and nations as a constant counterpoint to each other. It is through the mistakes and triumphs of others that we learn and grow and likewise others from us.

Isalm is not for any particular race or region. It is a universal religion for all regions, peoples and times. That is why Quran addresses the people, "Ya Ayyo hun naas", "ya ayyo hal lazeena" and the momins, the practicing believers which are all terms that mean people and believing people. Islam is not anybody's birth right.

That is why all Muslims are linked together in a common brotherhood through faith and not through their regional identies, race or color. So, my friend, it is your responsibility, equally, as well as an Arab's, for example, to understand it, practice it and implement it in life.

Yes, definitely!

For instance, the European converts can be more sensible when interpreting the Quranic verses.

Unlike Middle East & Asia, the interpretation are absolutely according to individuals own agenda, manipulating words for their own self interest and mostly become very irrational.

They neglect true teachings & the right messages . What a shame. All their rules, acts and fatwas at the expenses of the used-to-be beautiful religion.

Islam does not fit democracy. The two can not live together and Islam is not agreeable to earth based beliefs. One can choose to be Muslim but can not chose not to be. It offers no true freedom of choice.

It is already all over the world.
Any religion can be perverted for inappropriate uses. Just because people claim to be of a certain religion does not mean that they adhere to the tenets of that religion.
That's true here just as elsewhere.
