I fine with you having a differing opinion from mine. (If your comments include hate, Christians are evil....etc, yup, I give those a thumbs down)
Atheism is a religion. You can't prove it. I can't disprove it. They are both based on faith. A lot of "science" and "logic" are very much faith based, (for instance global warming, fact, fiction, reason to control the population..............science? )
I'm sorry you've had some bad experiences with some folks, but please don't paint all Christians the same.
Enjoy, (I'd say blessings, but my intent isn't to piss you off).
Edit: Hey, look! Negative feedback!!! What a surprise...did I write something hateful? (if so, I missed it)

I am not sure why the thumbs down since I have not looked at all your answers and what the questions were. Having said that, I am a Christian and asked a similar type question a few weeks ago and got a few good answers. Mostly, my question is why people, no matter what belief, couldn't have a rational, intelligent conversation about what they believe. I obviously differ from you in what I believe, but the FACT is that nobody knows FOR SURE what is going to happen after death, if anything. I believe certain things will but I have no way to know FOR SURE. I just accept it just as you accept that there is no God and that when you die, something else or nothing else happens. The thing that believers miss is that everyone has a personal choice on what to, or what not to, believe in and that there is nothing that they can do about it. A believer can only tell someone that this is what they believe and why and the rest is in the other person's hand and in God's hands. Until they figure out that the more they try and force someone to believe like they do the more they will push people away, nothing will change. Of course, on the flip side, I have seen just as many athiests more than happy to call all of us crazy and not discuss it rationally either. So I guess we both have a similar problem. :-)

I base it on the answer not the person..I give thumbs down to Christians all the time...Heck I got chosen as best answer by an atheist, and the atheists' gave me a bunch of thumbs down..for no reason at all...plus atheists gang up on Christians too. I don't push, pull or deny logic...science is a great thing but it is not 100% either so I don't have to accept scientific 'proof' if I don't want too...it is created by man..if they can't build me a car that runs with out gas (I am not talking about alternate fuels either) how am I supposed to trust that they can build machines and tests to tell me something is a million years old...
If you are going to be an Atheist..you might want to spell it correctly..(I mean that nicely)

A thumbs-down simply indicates disagreement with what you say or how you say it. It's not "ganging up". Do you never give a thumbs-down to someone you disagree with? It's the only form of response available on this site. It happens.
You're mind-reading when you try to ascribe to someone else their reason for doing something. Word to the wise, shrug it off and let it be. Someone clicking on an icon really doesn't affect your life in the long run, does it? :o)

We are human and we want to defend our Savior, who actually needs no defense. How do you rate Christian answers? I have given many Christian answers "thumbs down" if I believe in my heart the answers are irrational. So, I think it works both ways. Some Atheists give every Christian based answer a "thumbs down" and some Christians give every Atheist answers a "thumbs down". Personally, my faith in Christ can stand under any kind of scrutiny. I don't see any godly reason to get angry about it. I believe it's a human failing that these things occur. Peace.

For some reason it seems to be like this only on R&S, in the real world this does not happen too often (at least not where I live, perhaps it does in more conservative states). As for the thumbs down, they come and go, some nights you'll get a lot and some nights you'll only get thumbs up.

Why does walking through this site mean that if you are Christian it's like trying to walk through Baghdad in street clothes. Somebody with a gun is lying in wait.
Attacks come from all directions like we are a terrible enemy wishing a good long life for everyone. Why else do atheist hang out on a spiritual forum but to attack the truth?
God Bless!

This is not the case for all Christians, I have athiest friends and value them highly. I also learn a lot from them.
If you are a true athiest you must learn not to take things personally as you will bound to get a reaction - it is part of your 'job discription'.

I'm not sure where you all live, but I would say most in my area are pretty secular. There may be alot who say, oh yeah I believe in God, however rarely do you see truly devouts who speak/act of Christ in their everyday life. Now this is in real life (not online), if you think about it, I would assume based on a US citizenship you have a fairly similar dynamic in your areas.
Also, in our media (movies, tv, books), most everything depicted is pretty secular with a benign and fairly hidden splash of Christianity. I'm always astounded at alot of folks who feel there are so many Christians out there who are knocking down doors to preach Christ, shove God down their throats, or thousands at one abortion clinic. It's just not so. Anyone wonder about this? As a christian, I feel that when I speak of my beliefs its as if the elements in the air have changed, and all is usually not ok. Anyone else know what Im talking about?

I think that in any group, people have a tendency to stick with those that are similar in likes and other characteristics. That said, the thumbs down is there for people to use.You have every right to thumbs down a Christian's answer.and they have a right to do the same to an atheist's answer.

For the same reason atheists gang up on Christian answers. It's a competitive herd mentality that has very little to do with religion.
