My cat, Pansy Parkinson, eats anything and everything. Pretzels, peanuts, yogurt, cereal, cheese puffs, chips, smoothies . . . Now, obviously, you're not supposed to feed your cat such things, but Pansy sticks her head into things when I'm not looking. It's perfectly normal, just means your cat likes to eat a wide variety of things, and usually, it won't hurt them. Chocolate is dangerous to cats, and milk will give them diarrhea, to name a few harmful things.
However, as for eating non-food items like rubber bands, there is an actual symptom that comes in a few cats that makes them want to eat items that are not food. My other cat has this, and almost constantly tries to eat things like little balls of fuzz and string, shoelaces, ect. The best thing to do about this is correct your cat in some way when they try to eat these things. A squirt bottle works for me, as well as a simple "No!" Also, if you see things that your cat may potentially think looks tasty, pick them up off of the ground and put them somewhere she can't get to them. Just remember, under no circumstance should you let your cat eat non food items! It can cause serious internal injury.
If your cat refuses to eat cat food, ask your vet about alternatives. There are things like formulas you can feed your cat instead that are cat-friendly.
I hope that helped!

Cats are VERY weird animals at times. I have a female cat who is very picky about food. The only human food she likes is Green Olives. She went thur a stage where she would only eat wet cat food but with the bad food scare I took her off of it. When it comes to dry food she loves stuff that has different shapes in it. Not sure why either. She chews on plastic but doesn't eat it as far as I can tell. She absolutely loves Ressin wrappers. She never gets the chocolate but she wil dig the wrappers outta the trash can. She did get ahold of one of my house plants that made her sick and she has never touched another one.
Her grandfather was a different story tho. His name was changed to Munchie when he was about 4 months old because he was always munching on something. Tho I later found out that my cousin was getting him high all the time. I guess that explains the late night howlin infront of the fridge. He would eat anything that didn't eat him first.

Cats are weird I would say the weeds arnt much to worry about either is the yogurt I dont think but the rubber bands could be dangerous....Some plants are deadly to cats so you may want to research and make sure you yard is clear of them. I had a cat when I was young that LOVED papaya!!

My cat does this as well. He eats rubber bands, balloons, hair ties and chewed through a couple of my phone chargers. Its like he cant help himself lol. I just hide it all from him and put it out of reach. Its a disease thats called Pica where cats eat strange things. Look up Pica and it will tell you all the info you need to know. good luck!

I think it's pretty normal for cats to eat weeds...it has vitamins and nutrients in it...kinda like a salad would be for us. Also, cats eat them to help them throw up and clean out their systems (unlike us, thank goodness!) Watch out on the rubber bands, try and keep them in a hidden place because your cat could choke on one or it could obstruct his/her stomach or intestines.
Other than that, I don't really know what else to do. Have you called your vet to ask him/her about the situation? Is your cat losing weight from not eating normally?
I think some cats are prone to doing strange things...one of my cats likes to lick plastic grocery bags! I don't know why and when I asked the vet about it, she said she didn't know why either. It's just something he likes to do...strange, huh?

My cat will eat her kitty food, but she also likes soy ice cream (just a lick or two), potatoes with Earth Balance margarine, and french fries. I once made a tempeh dish with mushroom sauce, and she went bonkers licking the plate.
My cat likes to play wtih rubber bands and the plastic rings from gallon jugs. Don't let your baby eat them, though. And don't try to give your cat milk; cats are not supposed to drink cows' milk (nor are humans).

yes it is normal, the rubber bands arent but the grass is, it helps them digest, but runs the risk of getting ring worm from the urin of other animals who have gone to the bathroom on the grass she eats. the yogurt is kinda odd but then again cats will try to eat most human food, it shouldent hurt her.

My cat's favorite food is apples. He will literally claw me up (very strange thing for him to do to me, normally) to get some from me.
Cutest thing ever.
But yeah.. It's normal. Just don't let your cat eat anything that might be dangerous.
