Hi, I have Sony receiver 5.1 channel 5x100w
How do I set up rear speaker so that the rear speaker can be surround. I did plug in into rear speaker but can't work.
I try to change the mode and studio type but it's still the same. Is it has to be 5.1 channel audio output from DVD player. Is anybody can help me I can appreciate.
Thanks

In order to get true 5.1 sound, you have to use the digital connection of the DVD player. Either an orange Coaxial or a black Toslink. Connect either one of these to your receiver and the receiver will get 5.1 sound

HDMI also carries a 5.1 signal, alternatively you can hook up an HDMI fro your dvd player to the receiver (hopefully it has one.) and then run another HDMI to your tv.

You can only do this if the receiver has a dedicated rear surround output . Or like yamaha has EX mode..This technology uses the 2 rear speakers to create the sense of a rear surround speaker. I thinks it woks well it cuts down on wiring,etc...make sure you use 6.1 option on dvd aswell

I even have not considered or study any audio gadget that are in the three OHM load. examine the audio gadget returned, they are frequently stamp on the returned of the speaker magnet. it particularly is a undesirable theory to mixture tournament the burden resistance of your audio gadget to a receiver. maximum receivers in the industry can cope with the 4 to eight OHM load. Open your vendors instruction manual for the receiver and the audio gadget, if no longer bypass on line to the producer and get carry of them. wish this could help you to out.
