The original was written in more than one language.
As for the King James bible. That is the true bible. It actually is word for word from the original tongues.
The study guides etc are mistranslations.
The italics doesn't mean what people assumes. The words that are slanted doesn't mean what people assume. The prints of the words are printed the way they are for a reason.
There's a reason why verses in the old testament has two semi-colons, while verses in the new testament has one semi-colon.
Because of the way the king James was written, that's the reason why God sends a mediator to the earth in the last days.
As the old testament says, Gods words will be translated to s simple language, a language simple enough for his son to understand. It doesn't say for anyone else to understand. Many people assumes that.
As the bible warns, read it through its entirety, so that way when he returns in the last days, you'll be able to better understand what he's saying when he does speak.
One of the problems with people is that they have been reading bibles, but not the one they are supposed to be reading, The King James bible.
The other bibles had been re translated according to men's own understanding, Which , they had grossly mistranslated.
Men can't correctly translate what they don't understand how to read. I don't care how many men does the translation.
The King James Bible is actually a contract. Likewise is the original. It's an agreement made between God and the people.
Only one God, only one mediator, and the people.
The mediator is the man between God and the people.
When an agreement has been or possibly been violated, you send a mediator to help with the negotiations/proceedings.
That's why a verse says, You shall live according to this law. Also, do not take away from or add to this book.
Those are terms of a contractual agreement.
Men are supposed to be so intelligent in the last days, that they haven't been able to figure out that the bible is an agreement that was made between God and the people.
It's a very unique written contract, book.

The 1611 King James Version is the best English version. It was taken mainly from the Bishops Bible but the original English translation by Tyndale was used for reference. Greek and Hebrew versions are available but i don't know how true to the "original" they have stayed. There are also a trilingual bibles. That have the Hebrew or the Greek, The King James, and a direct translation of the Hebrew or Greek into modern English. But the modern translation is written right to left and because Hebrew and Greek use a "compacted" word structure. Like 5 Elglish to one Hebrew word. it is kind of jumpy, but very interesting cause you can read the KJV then see if the modern holds a true meaning.

King James Version - You can get a free copy at www.mormon.org. The Bible is the word of God as far as it's translated correctly. So, imagine if a modern day Prophet could restore and correct mistranslations. Hmm. Well, he would have the authority of God to do so. Hmm. All right, enough teasing, that is exactly what has happened. Although, the translation never got complete before the Prophet Joseph Smith was murdered. So, if you get the KJV bible from the LDS church, you will have footnotes with Joseph Smith translations to correct some mistranslations. (That might be fun for you to study!) Maybe that was too much for you. I certainly hope you stay true to your heart and pray for guidance. I know the Lord will lead you if you allow him to. I know I need the Lords help in all that I do. God Speed.
You know how there is so much confusion (all the different answers) in the world today, that is one reason why God called a modern day Prophet to clear things up. He provided additional scripture to prove it. Don't push that simple truth aside. If you're interested I can show you Bible scripture that testifies of the restoration in our day, the book of mormon ect...

the only reason words are removed is because there are variations between the original manuscripts. You need to have some trust in the principles of textual criticism. We will never have the ultimate, wholly authentic manuscripts. It's part of what makes biblical studies so exciting. King James is not necessarily based on the earliest manuscripts.
I recommend the New Revised Standard Version. It is similar to NIV but more recent, so probably is more up to date in terms of linguistic and textual research.

You have the King James Bible from the pure text and a whole swath of counterfeit bibles from the Catholic text.
Yes, there are two source texts, one pure and one corrupt.
I used an NIV for 18 years and got sick of it. I started using a King James Bible and it read like a breath of fresh air and testified to what I believed in, and I had no more doubts.
The NASB is also from the Catholic text and is very perverted.

Old testament was hebrew and New Testament was greek.
Most translations tell you if there are textual variations and what-not... I personally use several translations and see what the differences are in them... also I use a strong's concordance for the greek/hebrew words. I don't really stress about it too much though.

The bible is a decision of historic archives written to somebody else and compiled with the help of uninspired adult men. The archives are genuine archives however the bible is largely a smattering of what grew to become into carried out in a bygone erra. it particularly is like crumbs under the table. in case you get carry of carry of a letter that grew to become into written from one usual golfer to a diverse usual golfer and the content cloth grew to become into approximately golf, there could be plenty which you won't understand, fairly in case you weren't a golfer. this is because of the fact they weren't chatting with you at your point of know-how. although somebody would than come to a call that they be responsive to all approximately golf consistent with those letters and infomration that they won from different non golfers. it particularly is largely what you have with the letters in the hot testomony and the religions of right now. it particularly is not any ask your self that there are such countless interpretations of the bible. The religions of right now are based upon traditions that have been exceeded down for hundreds of years and what's written in the bible. it particularly is all they have. every time the Lord has had some thing to declare to his human beings, he has continually referred to as prophets. in many circumstances for the time of historic previous, prophets have been taken away by using loss of adequate faith to hearken to them. Then the persons relied upon the words of the lifeless prophets. An occasion of those have been the scribes and pharisees in Christs day, which he condemned. yet another fake theory is that the books of the bible communicate for the full bible such because of the fact the assertion in Revelations that condemns including to this e book. The bible grew to become into compiled a pair of hundred years after the final e book of the bible grew to become into written.
