Question for Muslims.?
Well this is going to sound very, very weird but then testimonial are weird. I would say this isn't really a revelation but more of an answer. I used to critize Muslims before, you know you go with what people say usually. There were times when I was really confused and I questioned god existance. I didn't know which religion to follow. So I prayed and prayed and asked god to guide me so I would know which religion is best for me to follow. For days and days straight I dreamt of my self veiled. I know this sounds weird but I could see my self veiled, I was in a black veil, kind of like the Niqab where you could see more than just the eyes but not quite my whole face. That's why recently I have posted so many questions about the Islam faith. Islamic people do you think this could be a revelation about the truth? Please help.

Ok Allah guide me inshAllah Amin.
Sister first I and the rest of those who are true will and should start praying for you instantly after we read this inshallah Tahala...
I was in the same situation and even Muhammed SAW when he seen Gibreal was in great doubt but soon and sure enough proof was revealed and more and more and more.. and then he never bent again..
Salam with Moses.. he wondered the desert thinking things through and he even told Allah no don't choose me!

Your not the first one and surely your not the last.. your choice is yours but you made the right one.. as far as the coverings.. that was done becasue those people didn't go against their desires.. If mankind esspecailly man just stayed the course you would not need that covering at all.. may sisters they have what the perfer and I will give you the honest truth, if its Allah SWT will or not... I have seen sisters covered up and the families so currupt its unreal.. and that is not Islam that is just muslims.... and I have seen sisters that don't cover up and they pray covered for Allah.. they go to masjed covered for Allah but they go to their work with Allah uncovered.. is it acceptable to shreeha law.. they will not burn for it! that is a Guarantee! Most muslim sisters have no guidance beside them.. so I ask you in pureness and truth... if you ever need any of us.. anyone that is sincere you only need to ask like you did and surely one will be sent by Allah for you and you will see they talk like me... they are Mummins true believers of Allah and care not what human beings want to poke at them with... if I fear Allah why do I need to listen to anyone else but him.. unless its in peace and patience and those who want to get in my pants for fun or see my body or whatever have no peace and no patience, and are unguided by Allah and only guided by their own desire... light to the light always to the light don't you ever stop searching for the truth! PROVE IT! or don't believe it.... I gave you this book so you may ponder over it the wise! when you get stuck on just the dresscode you lost your balance.. Allah knows what is in your heart dont' let anything else evade you... not even me! inshAllah ameen.

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim - In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hello, my dear. I am very happy that you are interested in learning about Islam. It is possible that what you had is a true dream, a sign from Allah that you are questing in the right direction. Even if the dream is from yourself, a result of your subconscious desire to learn about Islam, it is still true in the sense that you can see yourself moving in the direction of Islam. Either way, it is a beautiful thing and I encourage you to continue asking questions. You do have to be careful, however, because there are some people here who would discourage you and who are ill-disposed towards Islam specifically and religion in general.

I have posted links to a couple of really good websites for learning about Islam. They are chock-full of information. I would ask if you find a site you are not sure about, that you contact me to see if it is a good site, because there are many deviant sites online and it's not always easy to tell at first glance. You can contact me through my profile anytime.

I am an American Muslimah, married with children. I accepted Islam about 13 years ago and I've been learning about the religion ever since. I try to live my life in an Islamic fashion, discarding the negative cultural influences that have overwhelmed much religious practice. I am helped in this by my husband, who is mashAllah a strong Muslim who also doesn't like mixing the negative aspects of culture with the religion. I'll be happy to help you in any way I can.

I should point out that though the vision of veiling is a beautiful symbol, you should not consider that the covering of women is something that should be your main focus right now. The first and vital lesson of Islam is Tauheed, the Oneness of Allah. This is much more important than covering, though dressing modestly is a wonderful goal for any man or woman.

The essence of Islam is simple to grasp, but the details can take a lifetime of learning. Remember that Islam was revealed over the course of twenty years, and please don't get overwhelmed by all of the information and the conflicting stories you'll hear from people. Keep it simple, keep asking questions, and bear in mind this authentic tradition:

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Allah says: ' When a slave of Mine draws near to Me a span, I draw near to him a cubit; and if he draws near to Me a cubit, I draw near to him a fathom. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.'''.
[Al-Bukhari].

If you wish to develop an understanding of Islam, Allah will help you with that. I am at your service as well.

I pray that Allah guides you to that which is best in this world and the next. Ameen.

Fi Aman Allah,

Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid

I do feel that your dream could be a sign from Allah! And I commend you on your search for Islamic knowledge. If you have any questions at all I would be more than willing to try and find an answer for you. May Allah bless us all with his guidance and mercy!

I had a dream that Allah gave me as a sign. In it I dreamt I was in a meadow of grassy hills and a giant green cross raised above one of the hills. At that time a thunderous voice told me to follow the green tee (as in the letter). I awoke in a state of blissful happiness and didn't really understand what the dream meant. Later I realized that the cross represented religion... and it was called a green tee to point toward me following a different religion that I was on. It was green, which is the color most often related to Islam. Allah knows best!

You can not find out which religion is fit and the best for you by only prayed and prayed and then you dreamed it.You must make hard effort to compare between 2 religions such as Christianity and Islam.By this comparative study you can raise many questions and you must seek the right answers from a skilled muslim ustadz (teacher who has islamic and christianity knowledge in depth.)You can discuss it one by one until you are satisfied..God will not show you the best religion if you did not work hard to study it in depth .You will be weird and veiled only in your shadow. In fact Islam with its holy Qur'an and Hadith is a very complete, logic and uptode
life guide.Islam should be reflected in everyday of life.Islam is not only for worship to Allah the only one God but also a guide for all humans if they want to be happy and safe in life here in this world and in eternal life after death. We muslims are not weird because we accept Islam with all of its obligations as a need of our lives not treated it as a burden.
You are veiled because you have no real effort only prayed and prayed again..God will not change your destiny if you do not try hard to change it.It is spoken in the holy Qur'an.

It is possible that it is a sign from Allah, but just to make sure, take the Qur'an and start reading. Read it with your heart also and not only with your eyes & tongue. After reading it, you will be certain whether this is the religion you want to convert to or not. You can start also by easier books and sites, and also Yahoo! Answers. What you are doing is right. Rent a movie called "The Message" starring Anthony Queen, it'll give you a general idea of how Islam started. Good luck

Hey dude. You can live however you like. I might agree with you on some points but I don't agree with the part you said that "Sharia Law" is of no good anymore. I believe that Sharia should be placed in every Muslim country. It would make a better and crime-free society. Of course, it would only apply to Muslims. Look at the crime rates in Pakistan. There are just too many robberies. I just hate it. Compare it with Saudi Arabia. They boast of being able to leave their jewelery shops unguarded when they go to pray. Anyway, I don't agree with their "Women not allowed to drive" policy. Music - I think decent music is fine and there are scholars who feel the same way. It's good that you still practice Islam. Peace be with you brother.

Hi, well this is certainly a sign from God. Take few deep breaths, its extremely normal to see God's guidance in dreams. Seems like you have a pure heart. Well, there is a girl "revert Muslima", she saw similar dreams and converted, maybe you should talk to her because she has had similar experiences and she can guide you as well better then us because she understands better what you are going through. Stay relaxed and thank Allah for this sign. Your journey towards purification of soul has just begun. Below is link to "Revert Muslima" , she saw similar dream. Contact her. All the best!

It's Fine InshaAllah...

The Islamic viel in the dream of a non Muslim woman has a great meaning.. you shall do a great service to this religion that no woman in your era has done before.. according to the Tafseer of Ibn Sereen; As Hijab was first imposed on the Prophet's wives and Allah told them:

"O ye wives of the Prophet! Ye are not like any other women" 33:32.

Hi there,

Yes, it could be a sign from God. But you seem to think its Islam. One thing I would like to ask you. Islam is part of the Abrahamic faiths of Judaism, Christianity and of course, Islam. All of these religions preach modesty (in relation to what you were dressed in, in your dream). It could be a sign that God showed you he is Abraham's God.
All religions today have been changed, or somehow corrupted by us human beings, and that is the sad truth. If a new religion came up today, it would become 5 different sub religions in 2 - 5 years times.
Judaism spilt into many factions, Christianity, into hundreds, Islam - there are Sunnis, Shia's, Sufis' Amadiyyas', Quadanis, Lahores'.
I believe in God. But in this age of corruption of His books it's hard to actually know what's truth and what isn't and despite what many religious people want you to believe, there is no one true, uncorrupted faction of our precious Abrahamic faiths today that we can rely on to be truely untouched, unblemished, uncorrupted and pure.
I advise you to:
1. Follow your heart. Your images of yourself veiled in a niqab could either just signify your subconscious obsession and interest with Islam recently which manifested into this dream. Or it could be a sign that God is leading you to His path.

2. Whatever Abrahamic religion you choose - don't listen to people's version of their religion! Everyone has a different version, no one is fully informed, no one is perfect! Please read up yourself. Read the Torah, Bible and Qu'ran and decide for yourself which you feel is Truth.
If 100 people you met told you an elephant is hairy and small, and you did not read it up yourself and research, you will be the most foolish person for believing that an elephant is hairy and small! Your belief would be a lie. You would be believing other people's version of faith, not to your heart and God's calling.

3. Do not feel pressurized to conform. Again. Take your time, follow your heart, and pray and keep asking God to guide you.
