I'd say it depends on local laws. Ask an officer next time you see one, see what he tells you. Good luck

it's not legally considered a firearm so the use of it alone shouldn't be considered illegal. What you do with it or irresponsible actions are a different story. You could be arrested for reckless endangerment, etc. Air rifles today are made with such higher velocities that pump guns are capable of shooting faster than a 45 caliber pistol. At 1000 feet per second, you could easily kill someone. The pellet gun manufacture "gammo" has a picture of a wild boar killed by a hunter using their product. So.. in short.. if you wouldn't shoot the same target with a regular firearm, you shouldn't shoot it with a pellet gun. If you're shooting into a good solid backdrop in a safe direction.. like into a hill with no houses in the background.. you're probably ok.

Ive tried squirrells with a gun simalar to that but it was a better more powerfull older model that your gunw as based off of. it did not EVER kill the squirrell just ticked it off and it scolded at me then ran in its hole. Later I got a good pellet gun with a break barrell and shoots 900 fps with hollow points and it can blow a squirrell in 2. I would recomend getting a 50 dollar pellet gun with break barrel and rifling in the barrell. BTW a bb gun is for Feathered animals only. everything else it just ticks it off. and anything over 30 pounds you should use a .22 long rifle or short or even maginum for coyotes and tukeys and deer. (yes 22 is illegal for deer but who cares) the lowest legal caliber for a deer is 22 hornet witch has triple the power of a 22 lr

I'm not sure about in Texas but here in Iowa about 10 years ago one of our neighbors called the cops on us for shooting a Blow Dart Gun in our back yard. The cops just told us we had to take it in the house.

Check local, state laws and ordinances. I was able to until my town passed a BB gun law stating that no one can own, buy, or use any gun that looks like or is a handgun, bb gun, or toy gun.

Yep, you sure can.
I have three air gunning friends that live in Texas, and know
of a professional air gun tuner that lives there also. They shoot
in their back yards.

yes it is not a firearm (it doesn't burn any powder) so you can shoot it at any age, any time of day, and any day of the year, despite what other people will say. 10 and under you should have adult supervision.
