Angelic Beauty:
Actually, no. I'm not asking these questions in a loving way. I was in mormon hell for 27 years of my life. I'm now ex-mormon.

It what I have heard is correct, although Jospeh Smith III was declared his father's sucessor, the Community of Christ was not organized until 1860 and was actually established by Emma Hale Smith's second husband, not by anyone from the Smith line. Further, there is a very simple reason why Joseph and Emma's children ended up as part of the Community of Christ, Emma chose not to follow the rest of the Saints to Utah, and the children were too young to go themselves. In reality, Joseph's children did not really have a choice which church they joined. To me it makes no sense to look at which church Joseph's children were a part of to determine correctness. The fundemental difference, and what you really should consider, is that whether you believe that the prophet is called according to his ancestry or not. I personally believe that the LDS perspective on the calling of a prophet is more in line with the teachings in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Although God has called prophets that were sons of other prophets (i.e. Nephi, Alma), there is no history in the Bible or the Book of Mormon that demonstrates that this is the primary consideration.

You're right. It is a stupid question. And no, Steve Young didn't establish the church. Steve is not the "end all, be all" of truth. The church was established by the Savior and absolute truth resides in Him.

Steve Young has no bearing at all when it comes to the fact that I have spent hours reading, studying, and praying about the Book of Mormon. The only way to know about the things of God is to ask God. I know that this is the true church. I know it doesn't change your view, but that doesn't concern me. What I'm more concerned about is knowing that God loves each of His children and knowing that He wants them to be happy.

You should spend more time being concerned about your own happiness instead of worrying about others beliefs. If you are concerned that people won't know of God, just remember this. God can work miracles in people's hearts. If someone knows that God exists, it is because God put that knowledge in their heart.

(I assume you're trying to do this out of love. This question really didn't come across in a loving way though. Thought you might want to know that.)

The fact that a big NFL Hall of Famer was Mormon doesn't make the Mormon Church more True, and it doens't make it Less true. The Mormon Church could consist of 1 member and still be true according to the people, it doesn't matter how many members it has.

You're kidding! Right? Danny White who was QB for the Dallas Cowboys is also LDS. Rick Schroeder (Silver Spoon and later NYPD Blue and Strong Medicine) is also LDS. One of the members of Dishwalla, Diamond Rio, all of the Osmonds, Gladys Knight, etc.... See the link below for a full list of famous Mormons.

One thing for sure is that the SF 49'rs had a lot of Mormon fans while Steve Young was in office... If he had been any other religion, Mormons wouldn't have cared. That's they only reason they were fans.

If I have two apples and you have three oranges, then why is the cost of gas so high?

Edit:

Understand what? I mean, it speaks more of YOU than it ever will of US.

Not quite, but interestingly enough I was a Steve Young fan before I even knew he was LDS. I had a # 8 Young jersey when I was a kid. That Young-to-Rice pass and catch combo was a thing of beauty.

Ummmm I am Mormon and I don't consider myself stupid at all. Don't you have anything more productive to do than to attack other people you don't even know? Mystifying.
