I see religion still being pretty strong in 100 years. Where would i like to see it? Diminished. I think a persons personal spirituality is stronger then any religion can ever be. Religion seems to be like the thing that makes sh*tty people feel like they are good. It sucks. I hate how most religious people will treat others like garbage, but its okay cuz they go to church. Its sad really.

If you view Women as God's, then each person could have a much more spiritual expierance. They can create life so if all the religious fundementalist's could learn to read between the lines we might be able to have a real religion.

religion, whatever the denomination will continue to exist in
this world. People, not withstanding their beliefs look up to
a supreme being for guidance and this relate to religion. It
does not matter if in one hundred years or more, people are
so advance in their knowledge of material things, but their
faith and religion will always be a part of their lives.

My optimistic eye sees religion as a relic of a forgotten age, a superstitious barbaric system of belief that defies reason and intelligent thought, a historical footnote in the annals of history, and a mistake of the past taught to our children so they may avoid repeating it. My realistic eye sees it as being in the state its in today: a festering mire of prejudice, hatred and violence, all justified in the name of an imaginary fairy-king that lives in the sky. You know what they say, old habits die hard.

More Mormons, more Catholics, more Muslims. Who knows what will happen if China changes and allows freedom of religion and worship in public spaces, the demographics of world religion could vastly change. Atheism and agnosticism will increase in industrialized nations, but that will be outpaced by the growing religious conversions and higher population growth of other developing countries who fall victim to proselytizers and tradition.

I see the religious fundamentalists of Islam and Christianity united in a war against technology.
Robotics, artificial intelligence, and genetic engineering are advancing every year. Within our lifetimes, there will be artificial lifeforms capable of outsmarting humans.
Once those are created, I fully expect the religious zealots to start blowing up them and their creators who "played God."

I expect it to be more radical. Science is going to fill in more gaps which is going to, in essence, ironically create bigger ones among people. Either you will accept science or deny it, and the deniers will be radical and will live like a hermit.. ignoring everything and "believing"
Eventually, many will either convert or just go underground and be unheard of. Every religion has its downfall.
