It's totally okay as long as they're cooked all the way through. If you're still not sure about it, try pickling them. That way they'll hold for a long time, and have a tangy bite too.

LOL! Of course. I've eaten them after 2 or 3 days of sitting in a basket on the table, around Easter time.
As long as the eggs weren't way old when they were cooked, and the house wasn't sweltering at 85 degrees or more, the eggs should be fine.

I wouldnt,, but I know kids who seem to survive eating easter eggs that were found in the grass that were several hours in the sun...
also I forgot what country, but there is a delight made of boiled eggs, wrapped in some sort of mud and buried for days/months, then dug up, pealed and eaten as a delicacy.. its hard and rancid, but they like it...
So go ahead and eat your 8 hour egg.. if you get ill, you'l know never to eat that again.. haha!

It should be ok. They are selling braised hardboil eggs in coffee shops and believe it is left on the shelve for hours.

Yes, and unless exposed to temperatures above say 90 degrees, they will be just fine, reason being, there in an airtight shell (you don mean that are still in the shell right?), and they will be good for a few days at room temperature. Don't leave them in sunlight, or in a hot vehicle (temperature, not hot s in stolen or cool looking). after a few daays , they may start to turn, refrigerated there good up to a month.

Probably, but it depends on the temperature they were kept at while out of the fridge. If they were in the house (probably air conditioned) or in a good cooler bag, they should be ok. However, if you were on a day-long picnic and they were just in a picnic basket or in the car, don't take a chance ... toss 'em.

With any eggs the rule is if it's at room temp more than 2 hours, discard it.
Myself, I would probably risk it if the shells are completely intact.
For whoever said there's nothing worse than food poisoning, try cancer or multiple sclerosis.

Two hours is the maximum amount of time that hard boiled eggs should remain unrefrigerated to be sure of their safety.
