this what someone said about the bible:
"the only way to grasp the spirit of the words is if one has the Spirit of God revealing it to them ... crunching words and terminology will get a person exactly knowhere with the bible"

My question is, Do you mean that the Bible makes no sense or 0 sense to anyone who doesn't believe in Christianity?? Or it is God's fault that the bible makes no sense to non-Christians??

It is a Spiritual book. You can not understand the Spiritual parts within it without the Holy Spirit. You can read it without being a Christian and understand some things, but other things are revealed and understood only through the Spirit. I've been reading it for over 20 years now, and STILL the Spirit will reveal and give me a new understanding and insight to a verse I have read hundreds of times before. It is an awesome and amazing experience. Easy to understand why it is the greatest best seller of all time.

Our inner most being is our spirit. every person has one. When one says you need to ask Jesus into your heart what actually happens is that He comes and lives within our spirit which is the part that enlightens us to the things of God. Without your spirit being alive it is impossible to understand LIFE that is in the bible. Once one receives the Lord, this does not mean that we will never sin again. It only means that when we do sin , we bring it to the cross for forgiveness.

one has to repent of their sins and seek God with all their heart, soul, and mind in order to The Holy Spirit to reveal to them God's word, the Bible. IF a skeptic has a hardened heart, they cannot grasp God's word. One must be open-hearted. God bless.

the bible was written by a man and can be confusing, and the second and third commandment does state not to bow to any
other person/being and to not make an idol, now does that not sound familiar...... Jesus. Jesus is the son of G-d and should be treated as such, Jesus was also Jewish.
and your religion is not necessarily the right one. so don't discriminate or say it is confusing to another religion, they just don't think the same way as you and you should not try to convert people if they don't want to.

Some people are more receptive than others to God's word. These are spiritual people rather than those who love and live for the flesh.

See:

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

When one becomes saved the Holy Spirit of God enters him and directs him in godly ways:

Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

If u read the bible just to look for its flaws, contradictions, or ways to criticize it, then God will not give u understanding.

1 Corinthians 2:14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

the last part means "not spiritually able"

There's a verse in there somewhere that goes something like this... well let me just look it up... ah here it is...

2Cor 4:4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

What this verse seems to say is that people who don't believe in Christianity won't understand it because of "the god of this age" which, as I understand it is Satan.
