The Natural laws of the universe "created" the earth...there is no evidence for that claim.

if any persons are interested God may not have created THIS earth in 6 or 7 days.

When moses beheld a vision of the creation of the earth, he might have described what HE saw in the 7 days of the week.
Paul clearly writes that a DAY with God is like a thousand years to man. therefore the 7 days of creation might be seven thousand years. but the visions of abraham or moses (whereever the origin of genesis comes from) can be visions of 24 hour periods of time.

as for the extended creation of earth and heaven, think of God the Father teaching all the angels and His ONLY begotten Son how to create things. afterall it is written that NOTHING that is created was not created without Jesus.
think about how a spirit can learn to create,? !!! before you can create a cell, you have to design how the cell is going to be created, and if a person is newly born, such a person must be taught first how to do it, or spend the time to learn.

Six days with a nice whole story-book process included is much more interesting than a snap of the fingers. Bible writers wanted to stretch it out, give God more of a human spin. Who would've believed that God could create something as complicated as the Earth in a minute? When it takes us like ten minutes to make a taco? Pssh, no. Bible writers wanted to make it believable, appearing as if God had thought long and hard about it.
Personally? I believe it took millions of years for the Earth to form... but that's ok.

relies upon on the view you're taking. Orthodox non secular human beings might say scientists are incorrect and the creation of the universe replaced into accomplished in 6 days inspite of what scientists or any others might say. yet word that we evaluate 24 hours to be a 'day' or a image voltaic day on the grounds it particularly is how long it takes the earth to rotate around the sunlight (greater accurately it somewhat is 23h 56m 4s). formerly the creation of the universe, the sunlight or the earth a undeniable term won't be in a position to be seen to be a image voltaic day or 'day'. subsequently once you're finding to combine non secular texts with clinical findings - then you definately might say that the "days" stated in non secular scripts are of distinctive length then what we planned to be a 'day'.

These days may not be literal as we understand days, but it does show that because it was not instantly, it took some effort.
It can be a lesson.
Nothing worthwhile is gained without effort.
Example; the Hilton hotel chain heiress, has not really worked a day in her life.
Neither has Di's two sons.
Regardless of what they say.

I really don't know but, it did have to be days and not years because when Adam and Eve sinned they brought death into the world and there could have been no death before the fall of man.

If creation had lasted for years, there would have had to have been deaths during that length of time.

Just a theory...

According to the bible, days can mean years or eons...
That considered, I think it was because it was God's first time creating an Earth... simply put.

You'll have to ask Him when you see Him, if you are saved you will see Him face to face. He has perfect reasons for everything He does. That is all you really need to know. Because He is the begining and the end, He has no begining and has no end. The Alpha and the Omega. He knows it all.

Because the men that created God couldn't concieve that "everything" could be created in the blink of God's eye...so they made it take one day for each category of "things" they could imagine.

Because he wanted it that way. Why does just about every living thing have two eyes?
