i dont think it is NOR do i believe it contains all the words of God, nor can it teach all things that are true.
I heard a quote recently that says TRANSLATORs are the worst traitors of scripture. is this true?
can you rebuttle this idea?

Bible is imperfect, the only people who believes that it is the word of god are christians...just like the only people who believed in the qu'ran are muslims.

No its not perfect. The original text is hard to translate into english, so not every single word is the same as the originals. I use to be a witch until I searched for some answers. I kept an open mind and heart and asked for the truth to be shown to me. Wow,,,,,I am a Christian now. I feel and see things so much better now! It all makes sence, and the bible is God's word, it may not be perfect, but it gets the point across. I know this cause God is in my heart now. Even if I didnt read the bible, I would know inside me if it was right or not. And the Christian Bible is the oldest text in history.

No, I don't have any rebuttles for you. In fact, I agree. Mostly. I don't think the Bible contains any of God's words, only words influenced by God (as everything is... so why is the Bible so special? I just don't know...). The morals expressed in the Bible are excellent guidelines, though. So kudos to Mr. Bible for that. Yep, the translation to english definitely screwed stuff up; not as much the main message, but the details around the message, definitely.

No I can't rebut it. I don't know why the following happened.. Was it the Translators choice, or the King's orders?
No matter how the Bible is analyzed, it is flawed. Translators had complete discretion over content. If a story wasn’t complete, multiple stories were woven together to become one. Pieces were moved around and put together like a puzzle. When any turn of a phrase seemed to even slightly disagree with the Church, it was removed in its entirety. We now know that scrolls of material intended for inclusion were hidden to avoid its destruction. Codices, carbon dated to the correct time, have slowly been discovered. They are always the cause of great debate. The New Testament, was written two centuries after Christ was crucified! Before the Bible was let loose to commoners, powerful people simply raped it. When one controls the religion of a people, they then control those people.

NO!! WHY? Simply because it can't be understood by any two humans alike! There were 33,820 seperate and distinct denominations of Christianity in the world in 2004. They were on the increase.(*). They were each sure they had the "true faith". If God is perfect (which I believe because no other can create all that is) and is in control of all that happens (a tenet of many faiths) then he would have caused to be written a book (if he wanted a book to be written) that could be understood by all in a manner that would have resulted in harmony rather than discord (if he wanted harmony rather than discord).
I think the Bible contains words that could result in harmony rather than discord but the theologies extant do not stress them nor do any of the 33,820 sects stress them by their practices to my knowledge.
I think the words of "Jesus the Christ" that are recorded in the current canon of the New Testament indicated his intent that people were ideally to each have A PRIMARY CONCERN FOR THE WELFARE OF ALL THE HUMANS OF THE EARTH FOR ALL THE TIME THAT THEY WERE ALIVE. If this were practiced there would be harmony; instead their concern is for the welfare of the few who proffess to belong to their particular denomination or sect, predominately. This exculusiveness is a result of the imperfection of the Bible and leads to discord.
The translators of the texts from which the Bible was written contributed to its imperfection by their exclusivity in being such "chosen" and "gifted" translators just as all the Christian Priests, Ministers and Parsons etc. contribute to discord by being "chosen" and "gifted" voices in the interpretion and promulgation of the message of the Bible. Therefore I can not refute your statement.

The bible is not supposed to be a complete documentation of everything about God. It is a book about God's relationship to man. God put everything in it that we need to know to rekindle our relationship with Him after sinning against Him. Translators are not traitors. For example 72 translators took the Old Testament and went to 72 different chambers and miraculously had identical translations which led to the Septuagint ( Greek Old Testament Translation) If you read the bible it is perfect because it contains so much...like Song of Songs for how to love your wife...Romans being theology...Ephesians being how to be a church...Leviticus being the law...etc..etc. The Bible is a holy text that allows us to learn how to live a better life and reconnect with God.....I wish it did have every answer to every question...but that is what heaven is for.

God is smart enough to hinder those traitors and not allow them to succesfully translate the Holy Scripture in their own version.
God guides people who translates the bible, so it would not be far from what HE would like to tell us. If you are able to read the bible in many language or translation you will see that there's not much difference on the meaning.Meaning, it's really guided by God. He dont let those stupid people to translate His Message in different light.
why there people think the message is confusing/contradicting? because they dont understand it. For those, please pray before reading the bible so you would understand its true meaning.

I believe it's essentially perfect. As far as the New Testament is concerned I believe that because of the number of manuscripts out there and the percentage of textual variations in those manuscripts. There's no book quite like it in that regard. I believe the Old Testament because of the New but I don't know much about it I have to admit.
As far as translations... I'm not really into learning greek. Translations are sufficient for me. I can always get more than one translation for input if I need it...

You have a point on the translation thing. The bible is perfect considering it was written by God. (through prophets) The bible also states "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." So I have faith that its all the way it should be.

That's why the Bible has different book's about the same subject. The more perspectives on something, the greater the chance of the truth getting through. Translator's play a huge part in intepretation, especially across different languages.
