Homosexuality is not a condition of the mind, it is a spirit. This spirit can effect anyone who is not covered with the blood of Jesus. One twin can be straight, while one twin can open themselves up for this spirit. God does not make homosexuals. Now here is the big misconception amoung people. After God made Adam and Eve, he has not made anymore humans. Humans make humans. People need to stop saying thet God made them when there was only two people He made. God told Adam and Eve to procreate...His work is done. Did God place you in your mother's womb, or did your Father's sperm enter into your Mother's egg to create you? Therefore, as science proves, humans make humans.

vamp: In all seriousness. we as a society have looked to the genetic make-up of an individual(s) to blame for murder, over-weight (although in some cases - it may be true), smoking, etc. Then, should this be the case, where does both, accountability and responsibility for one's actions come into "play"? In the 1800s, the French in France, used to say that the shape of a person's ear would pre-determine whether or not, he or she was destined to become a criminal. Homosexual twins or triplets are not born that way since to believe so, would then, reflect the focus onto the question, "why is it that in families where one of the members are "gay" and the rest aren't"? You see ... life is opportunity and choice. Don't get me wrong - I do not dislike homosexuals, as I believe they are just as precious to God, as you and I are. But - there is a cause for every effect! If I should choose to become involved in porno, for example, my mind-set will reflect what I have been doing. "Garbage in ... garbage out" - that is how our minds function. We are creatures of habit ... some good habits and some wrong ones !!!

How can God blame us for what we do? Let me see- so if a person murdered someone close to you , would you say, God made him that way, so I am ok with the murder? What if you were married to someone and he/she cheated on you- I guess that is God's fault for creating this person to cheat. Know of course that sounds absolutely ridiculous, at least it should. So why can you say this about homosexuality. God said it is a sin- I believe it is a sin- and we blame the person for being a murderer, so............. That said- I am not judging here I am just answering the question to the best of my ability. God created us with choice- no matter what choice we make, He makes a way for us- that too is a choice.

I have no opinion whether homosexuality is a sin, but the logic that something is not a sin because it is "natural" is erroneous.
There are many aspects in human nature that, if acted upon, are sinful. Most of the "vices" exist in the hearts of all persons - avarice, jealousy, hatred, lust, etc. And there are as many attributes that are not "sinful".
It's not the inclination that counts, it's the reaction (or non-reaction) to that inclination that matters.
So saying something isn't sinful because they were born that way is bad logic. That would justify virtually every act. Rapists, murders, and wife-beaters can and do claim the same defense.
Judging the sinfullness of homosexuality will have to be done with a different argument in logic.

This is a very interesting question. See, I understand that people are born with certain assets, issues, and/or problems. For me, I was born addicted to narcotics. My mom took them the entire time she was pregnant with me. So, I was born an addict. I had to go through withdrawal as an infant.
As I got older (I grew up in the 60's and 70's), drugs were readily available. Statistically, I didn't stand a chance to *not* be an addict. And, for me anyway, the statistics proved to be true. I am an addict. It's finally become an on again/off again thing for me. But, it took a lot of struggling for me to get even that far.
But, I often ask myself, "When did it become a choice for me to use drugs or not?" When I was 12 years old, my pediatrician prescribed 40 mgs. of Valium for me per day, due to stress I was under because of my parents' alcoholism and drug addiction. Sounds like a paradox to me. Then, when I was 15 years old, the doctor prescribed Percocet for what is now known to be Migraine headaches.
After I became legally an adult, I had a choice, I believe. I didn't have a choice of whether or not to be addicted, because I had been since birth. But, I did have a choice to try and not use narcotics. I chose to use them. Does that make me guilty of some kind of sin? I don't know, really, I don't. But, I do know that God is merciful and that He understands my motives better than I do.
Plus, I believe that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for my sins. And, I also believe that if God wants me off of all forms of medications forever, that He will direct me to quit using them and show me how to, as well.
God created all of us for a purpose. It's not really necessary for us to understand that purpose, because it's His plan, not ours. I think we should just trust God, not man, and believe that we have a Savior who will perfect us, no matter what sin we may have been born with.
I think that your question is one of the most thought provoking questions I've seen on Answers in a long, long time.
One more thing, you've probably heard of hermaphrodites. Does anyone here have the audacity to think that God didn't create them that way? And what should they "choose"?
In my opinion, the only thing any of us can do is to trust in Jesus Christ, to trust that He understands our motives and our hearts. The Bible says that it is our thoughts and intentions that are judged. So, if we are sincerely well intentioned with our efforts to do the best we can to please God, then I think we are okay. And the Bible says that no one can please God without faith.
So, put your trust in Jesus Christ. He will sort out the details and perfect His people in His good timing. Peace.

why would God create homosexuality and then call it a perversion? people always try to find ways to just their sin. God didn't create homosexuality man/sin did. how could a 5 yr old boy or girl possibly know they are homosexual? as the child gets older...the child has a choice to whom they want to be attracted to. if he wants to play with tonka trucks or in his mother's make up. it's all about choice. i don't believe that God made homosexuality (after reading what God CLEARLY states that it's a perversion). it's a choice.

Well I do think it's hormonal or something, I don't know for sure, but I know I didn't choose to be gay, I was born this way. Anyway, don't expect to get much intelligent answers from people who think it's a choice...as long as you know who are then I wouldn't worry about other people's misguided opinions.

I don't claim to know what causes homosexuality in men, but if it were genetic, all sets of identical twins would both be either heterosexual or homosexual. There would never be a case of one of each.

1) I am a Bisexual Christian.
2) I do not believe that people are born without the sin nature in them.
3) I believe that sin can manifest itself as anything bad.
4) I believe that sin makes a person a certain way at birth, some are hidden things, and some are openly visible.
5) I believe that some people are born Gay and some people decide to be Gay.
I have had Gay sex with men. I recognize it as the mortal part of myself that will die with the rest of what's wrong with me. I will not judge a person who doesn't see it that way.

In 1st Corinthians 6:11 the Bible says a gay can grow to be righteous: "and that's what a number of you have been. yet you have been washed, you have been sanctified, you have been justified interior the call of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the aid of the Spirit of our God." No gay takers on that one huh? indexed right here are the previous verses (9 & 10) that notably say gays have no section in heaven: Or do you no longer be attentive to that wrongdoers won't inherit the dominion of God? don't be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who've intercourse with men nor thieves nor the grasping nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the dominion of God. call it biased, or regardless of you prefer to. I call it interpreting comprehension.
