After the kitten has eaten put him in his litter box. If he does something then praise him and give him a little treat. If he does not cover his business then take ur hand and scoop some litter over as if u were covering it. If he sees u doing this he might then start doing it himself as he might not know what to do at the moment. Don't worry instinct will take over soon.

If the kitten has blue eyes, it is quite young. Perhaps too young to have been separated from its mother, or its mother may be dead. You are fortunate to have found it. Whoever did that to a kitten should be prosecuted. I have posted a link on newborn kitten care, including getting it to have a bowel movement. The information in the link should help buy you some time.
I have also posted a link that will show all the rescue groups in your area. You go on as if you are seeking a cat, and you will find who has them. You can then call, but be aware that most of them are overwhelmed as it is and may only be able to provide some advice.

Well, for one, I'd be more concerned if the kitten wasn't meowing. :)
Secondly, try rubbing its tummy and but with a warm rag to stimulate its bowels. It was most likely taken a bit too early from mom and therefore is having difficulties. Normally mom would help it poo by licking it.
Also, you might want to try giving it kitten formula half the time, and not just strictly cat food. It might not have been fully weened yet.

If you can't afford care from a regular vet then call the SPCA about low cost clinics. That will still cost you $50-75. If you can't afford $200 a year in medical care, shots, flea & tick control and examinations, then now is the time to get the kitten to a no kill adoption group.
The kitten needs to be seen and be given shots for worms and distemper. I hope you washed it for fleas. You should be putting it back in the litter container if you find it pooping outside and you may wish to massage its little body like a mother licking it, both to socialize it and to stimulate its bowels.

Is the kitten's tummy hard? If so, he/she could be impacted. That means, trouble having a BM. Since you found the kitten that way, and trying to care for it, I understand your concern financially. It is hard to care for an animal since vet bills are so extreme. I have three cats of my own. You can take the kitten to a Humane Society and explain to them how you found it, and what you have noticed so far with it not having a BM (Bowel movement). Kittens are most likely to be adopted. So it's ok to take him/her to the Humane Society. Go tomorrow and tell them what happened. Everything will be fine. :-)

I think in this situation it is best if you call the ASPCA or animal control to come get the kitten. It needs basic medical attention which you stated that you cannot afford. Your kitten needs to be vaccinated, dewormed, and neutered. This can be expensive and if you cannot afford it, it's best to give up the kitten to someone who can properly care for it.
Please think about what's best for the kitten in this situation. Later, once you have gotten to a point in your life where you can afford vet bills and a good book on kitten care, please adopt another kitten. I know you have good intentions, but your kitten needs expert care to be healthy.

this kitten has left the mother too soon. that is why it doesnt know how to do those things. it would be really great if you had another older cat to teach him. maybe some one you know has one. a lot of times an older cat can teach it. good luck.
