I am a deist. (For those that do not know what that means please look it up before bashing).

Forgot to mention, I would appreciate if the religious folks would not start saying insane stuff like Satan deceived us.
Thanks.

I get along well with deists. At least you guys are open-minded about religion and philosophy. As an atheist, the idea of a god doesn't offend me at all--what sticks in my craw is when some priesthood claims an exclusive connection to some god that nobody else has.

I was a Deist for a couple of years before I admitted to myself that I did not believe in God at all. It's a good stopping over place. At least it rejects religion, gods, supernatural, the Bible, heaven, hell and an afterlife.

Deism doesn't surface in my thoughts very often. That's probably because deists don't go around proselytizing, witnessing and preaching their deism. If the deists of today are anything like the ones who founded America, I like em.

well, according to the first definition from wiki, I guess Im sort of deist too.
I believe that there is one ultimate God. One Supreme. God does not interfere with all that goes on here, we create it ourselves... by our actions and reactions. (karma) There is heaven and hell, but it is not permanent, and we again and again start on earthly level till reaching perfection with God.
I'm a Hare Krsna devotee (in category of hinduism).

I consider myself a deistic agnostic. I see no evidence of a personal god nor any reason to believe in one. In this regard I'm a pragmatic atheist in my day-to-day life. I also see no evidence for a deity that created the universe but such a "hypothesis" is just as scientific as any other (given that none would be falsifiable) so I choose to believe in a creator god.

Is this another of the Mono-atheists that believe in the singular, no name, God.......May the Gods and Goddesses have mercy on the poor soul.

Deists have not said I'm going to hell (yada yada) because I don't share their beliefs, so this atheist has no issue.
