Some days, my face will have way more colour to it than usual (usually it's really pale white, but sometimes it has so much colour it looks flushed) and my lips turn a really dark, almost purplish, red. This usually happens around my period, but it can happen at random times. I think it makes me look like a completely different person, and I know other people notice it because they've even sometimes asked me if I'm wearing makeup on those days. (I never wear any makeup at all, by the way.) Is there a reason this happens? I hardly ever do any kind of strenuous exercise, so I don't think it's normal face redness from that.

I'm 16 years old, people tell me I'm underweight (5'3 and 115 pounds), and I know I'm not pregnant because I've never had sex in my life (nor do I ever intend to...).
