I had always had great skin until about 6 months ago when I suddenly started getting acne. It seemed like every breakout scarred. Most of the scarring is on my chin area with a little on my forehead.
It's not like craters...its just pinkish marks. But I'm really self conscious about it and sometimes I won't even do stuff with my friends because I feel so bad about it.
Mostly, makeup disguises it but I feel like its robbed me of my natural beauty...now I have to wear makeup...it sucks.
But my real question is...
Would you date a girl with acne scars?(guys only plz)
I'm so worried that guys will find that gross or ugly.
I have tried treatments but so far...its not any better.
Please be honest. Other than that I think I'm okay. People say I'm pretty...but the acne has destroyed my self confidence.

Please don't listen to this stupid advice. Only someone with half a brain would go to a solaruim and give themselves skin cancer.

Nothing is permanent anymore. Dermatologists can help acne scars disappear. I am 41, and I suffer with adult acne, so I have scars. I have no problem attracting guys. That comes with confidence in yourself, and the beauty that is in you. If a guy is shallow, then, yeah, they will probably not want to date someone w/ scars, but then they probably aren't worth dating, anyway. Our flaws give us as women character. Be thankful for the blessings, and people will look past that. Trust me.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.

Acne scars are not something based on which I would decide whether I would date or not. In fact, I have even dated a girl who had white spots all across her face. But I dated her because I used to like her a lot. Nothing to do with the external features. Beauty lies within. And this is not something that should make u loose your self confidence.

Yes, I would and there are guys out there that would date a girl with acne scarrs. You are probably still young and those scarrs will go away when you are about 20 or 23 depending on your body. Guys who won't go out with you or even make fun of you cause of them are very immature and shallow, and you don't need them kind of guys in your life anyway. Just hold on a little longer and your skin will be fine. One big part of acne is chocolate and greesy foods, like fast food and fried foods. Try cutting down on that and see if it helps but other than that, guys don't really care so don't feel all bad about it.

If she was cute yes I would not care if she had acne on face as long as she's nice and not a ***** about scars being gross.

Im a girl but i think that if a guy says that he wont date you because of them then you deserve better. Looks are not everything in life you have to have a good heart. I have acne scars too and they havent stoped me at all its a normal part of life everyone goes through some people more than others. Good Luck.

I would, because it's not the scars I'd be looking at. You're so self-conscious, you forget that you might still have a pretty face beneath and an even better personality.
You shouldn't worry so much. these things happen. They might go away.

Things like this tend to get bigger in your mind than with other people. It is like a zit, it gets as big as an orange in your mind but really is quite small. Try to shuck it off. When the acne passes, and it will, then some quick work by a dermatogist and they will be a thing of the past. Lots of guys would date you if your personality is sunny and friendly. So smile and be nice and go right on, it will pass.. Good luck

I wouldn't find acne scars ugly, yes I would date girl who had them. Besides it's whats on the inside that really counts. Personality can make the hottest girl ugly, and the ugliest the hottest. Just try to be confident, if you meet a guy and he doesn't want to date you cause of something so superficial, than it's his loss. You deserve to find a guy who likes you for who you are!!!!
