When I get nervous, my mouth gets dry and then my voice tends to crack. I was thinking of carrying a bottle of water with me into the interview. Do you think it's acceptable to take water into the interview or do interviewers tend to look down on that?

It is acceptable.

Now days a lot of people go around everywhere with a bottle of water in hand. If you look confident in the interview then you have a better chance of getting the job (duh) and if a bottle of water and an occasional drink from it is what you need then do it. You won't look to strange doing that.

This affects a lot of people, and as an interviewer, I have always made a point of asking if my interviewees would like a cup of coffee or something before starting the interview. This is simply polite. I would find it a little odd if someone brought their own water, but I wouldn't let it influence my decision. I just wonder though, would you really want to go to work for a company that understands so little of humans that they do not think to offer you a glass of water??? If this is a good company to work for, your interviewers should do all that they can to bring out the best in you.

I just bring this up for your consideration. You sound as if you really want this job, and I'm sure you understand your situation better than I do.

It is perfectly alright. Ask permission first and explain why you have to drink some water. Good luck!

Peace and blessings!
