Mine was at a cleaners, and it was hot, and there was no one my age working there, it sucked. How was yours?

Delivering the Yellow Pages. $80 for 2 days work, not bad back then.

Submarine Sandwich Shop in NJ. Not bad but smelled like vinager and onions leaving work everyday. I think I made about $3.80 an hour--what ever the minimum was in '77 or so. The owner's son worked there too and was a partier, so we did typical "Those 70's Kids" activities all the time on the evening shift and could eat as many sandwiches as we wanted. Bought a moped with first couple of paychecks.

My first job was at McDonald's back when I was in high school. Back then we made dozens of burgers at a time and they just sat there until a customer ordered it. I quit after I graduated and I'm happy to say I'll never work at a fast food joint for the rest of my life! Also, I noticed these days they prepare the food as it's ordered BUT the meat is still cooked dozens at a time and they just put them in a plastic drawer and use them when needed.

busboy and dishwasher through my teen years. The pay sucked, work was physically difficult, uniform was uncomfortable, some of the customers were rude. Good thing was food was free. Other good thing was it got me determined to study hard so that I would not have to serve anyone like that again unless I did it out of choice
