I just read on wikipedia that severe cases or vertigo can cause sudden death. Do you think this is true? The worst I ever get it is when I lie down to go to sleep and close my eyes. Everyonce in a while I get it then. Do you think I'm at risk if this is true? Sorry I kinda want to hear someone elses advice I'm a little nervous at the moment. Thanks.

Ok thanks you two. I heard wikipedia wasn't a good source but I wasn't sure why. Also I have had inner ear problems for about 4-5 months. Problems with tinnitus and other things. The vertigo only started happening after after the ear stuff. Thanks again.

It depends what kind of Vertigo you have. If, you have positional Vertigo which is triggered by the cilia (tiny hairs) in your inner ear when they get disturbed by a sudden movement of your head. This is very benign type. I would make an apt. with your doc. & get checked out to be sure. Your Vertigo probably has to do with inner ear stuff which tends to be very common. So, no I don't think their talking about your symptoms.

Here's the thing about Wilipedia... it is not a creditable source. Anyone can change anything, no matter if they have the correct information or not. Colleges tell their students not to use Wilipedia to cite anything. So, I would approach anything you read on that site with a grain of salt. That being said, I believe that the information you read was incorrect; otherwise, you'd hear of folks dying daily from amusement park rides.
