Two Chinese guys at a pub I work at, one from Mainland, and the other from Singapore, they got into a fight with this really mean Japanese gangster all covered in tattoos.
Out in the hallway, they grabbed some empty bottles and hit him over the head many, many times, (I'd say about 14 times) with bottles, until he lay on the floor for a long, long time, unable to get up, at least for the next 4 or 5 hours, the whole time I had to rub ice on his head and neck, until finally, at 6:00, or so we carried him up in the elevator to street level, and I called an ambulance, but the ambulance man turned gray when he saw him, and refused him.
Then, he told us to take him to his car, and he got in and drove away. Now, he's fine, but everyday coming to the bar looking for those two guys. Did the ice help? He seems like all brand new...

Maybe he was drunk, and the knockout kind of accompanied the effects of too much drinking... but a bottle is a really hard object, so i cannot imagine that it didn't do any damage....
Keep a close eye on him... he might have a delayed reaction to the blow, otherwise, he has a skull of stone!

Yes. Its very dangerous. Depending on the type of bottle and how hard the person is hit. And hit to the head is serious and can result in brain or neck injury such as subdural hematomas and concussions. Failure to seek the appropriate treatment can result in permanent damage. Some patients have no symptoms at all at first but later develop delayed reactions, vomiting, dizziness etc.

People watch movies and see someone hit another person over the head with a beer bottle and think its no big thing. What they don't realize is those beer bottles are fake, they are only made of an easily broken material. Hitting someone over the head with a real beer bottle can & sometimes will, kill them.

Of course lady! That's why the Helmet was invented to protect a person from a severe head bump.Any head trauma could lead to a coma or fatal at times.Construction Workers used a hard hat to protect them from any falling debris that might potentially fall to their head.So hitting a person intentionally could lead to death, it depends on how strong the bashing. Remember there is no Brain Transplant yet.

Yes, it is dangerous. Just because someone gets lucky and seems to suffer no ill effects does not mean that an empty bottle cannot do serious damage, even kill.

I know a chick who lost an eye from getting hit in the head with one bottle - one time.
Not a good idea.
The chick who did it had to pay like 30k in restitution and went to prison for like 5 years.
