There are many websites where you can get personal information on your dad.

One site is Knowx.com

I used it to check-up on a boyfriend! I'm glad I did!

well matters on where he lives for example Oklahoma has OSCN, missouri has casenet, federal gov has inmate locator, you need to do a search for "(name of state) Court dockets. I've found out alot of interesting stuff that away. Good luck.
You can also do an advanced people search on yahoo and it wants you to pay for the results but it at least shows the states then take and look for those states public records.

All court records are public,so you already have the basic info ,such as name and so on just check out the court records first the go from there you can also check the local paper where he lives you can get a lot of info on someone with out a lot of work . hope this helps you in your quest.

Why don't you just write him a letter on paper and send it to him with a stamp? Tell him he isn't in your life, you realize he and your mom had problems, and you are curious about what kind of man he is. Keep the tone neutral and non-judgemental.

If he is normal, he will want to talk about himself. Let him. Keep the conversation away from the breakup, concentrate on his younger life or his life afterwards.

If he is in prison for rape and murder, disregard everything I said.

My friend recently subscribed to this site, she says its excellent, I don't think it cost's that much to become a member either.
