Don't you think people (especially women) who recently lost considerable weight should shut their mouths about it for once? They are so quick to make comments like they are some kind of expert all of sudden.

Well excuse me, I have never been overweight, so I am the one who should be talking. Not you. You are a former fat slob, and you never recover from that. I can guarantee you, you will again gain weight and will always have problems with diet & exercise.

Anyone agree with me? You people might be skinny now, but you were once fat. You don't belong in the same category as me and the rest of us who are naturally fit.

There are many different reasons a person can be overweight, and there are many ways to lose weight, a person who loses weight by diet and exercise has made a lifestyle change, often taking months of will power and determination to achieve, and of course they are proud of it, they know what it is like to be a "fat slob" and dont wish others to feel this way.
Some are just bragging, a person who is naturally fit has not felt these feelings and can not possibly relate. you are just like that and there is not much effort on your part.

So no I do not agree with you, I do however resent when I am trying to lose a few lbs. which is about 10 most of the time,
having people who weigh over 200 pounds their self telling me how to lose weight. I would much rather take advice from someone who has been there, done that..

I think that for questions like how do I lose weight? people who have lost weight should make comments before people who haven't. Being thin and losing weight are two totally different things. People who have lost weight know how to do it. People who have been skinny know how to keep a healthy weight. And you know what? I am proud to be a former fat slob (that's right I was) because it shows that sure I made a lot of bad choices but I can overcome them. I don't see you calling out former addicts for trying to help someone else who is suffering from a dissability they know so well.

For the most part, yes, that's true. Your body will try to keep an extra 10 lbs. or so on your body as a survival measure, so as you get closer to a healthy weight, you body becomes less efficient at burning calories because it's trying to keep a little extra weight on. If you're more overweight, your body will usually "want" to shed the weight because it's unhealthy.

Men are fat too, lol what are you so mad about?

I do agree that most men and women dont understand that you should always eat healthy, not just for 3 months so you can lose 20 lbs. If you dont stick to diet and exercise, you will gain the weight back and then some.

People who have never had a weight problem are not the ones who can give any kind of weight loss advice. They have never had to lose weight. They have no clue what it is to have that kind of struggle because they are naturally thin. A naturally thin person giving weight loss advice is like someone who has never been married trying to give marriage advice.
On the other hand, someone who has had to struggle through a weight loss program, and has been successful, is the ideal person to give advice. They have conquered their weight problem and can give good advice and knowledgable support to someone else who has just started the struggle.

It's been proven obesity isn't necessarily caused by over eating. And I imagine your metabolism allows you to eat like a pig and not gain weight. Most thin people I know eat just as much as the fat people I know, and sit on their asses just as much too. No I'm not fat. Just not as self righteous as you. So go out and get some maturity. WHY especially women?

And just what category is it that you belong to? Not the naturally fit category of men that I've come across.

I'd rather date a fat man than a "naturally fit" egotistical jerk with a huge head on his shoulders like you, cuz guaranteed, he'd have more class than you have in your pinky.

Ummm . . . actually, if it was possible for someone to be "naturally fit", then it would make you LESS qualified to tell someone else how to lose weight, not more qualified. Because you wouldn't have had to lose weight in your whole life, you won't necessarily know how to do it. If someone who's overweight eats the same amount of energy they expend, they won't lose weight. So they can't just copy off of your habits or they'll stay the same. Good night!

Calm down! In what way do people who have lost weight and are proud of it effect your life? Are you some sort of fitness trainer who has been bested by a formerly heavy set girl? Stop belittling other people to make you feel better about yourself. That's why nobody listens to you, naturally fit or not.

"very open minded and progressive person" indeed.

At least the overweight people had made an effort to get skinnier. They worked hard on it, and they should be allowed to show off a bit. Obesity is a problem in America and more people should strive to be fit.
