You are not going to be able to put on a whole lot of muscle unless you are eating the stuff your body needs to put on "healthy" weight. You should be increasing your protein a LOT, also supplements help quite a bit.
I highly recommend that you join the forum @ rippedacademy.com/ so you can get advice from professional body builders, as well as people who have gone/are going through the process you are. The people on that forum have so much advice to offer on nutrition(and a whole bunch more)

Right now, your BMI is at about 22.15, which is pretty healthy, so I say you wouldn't need to gain weight (unless you are doing wrestling or someting). But if you really wanted to, gaining about 1-2 pounds a week is the most you should do, so it should take you at least 5 weeks to gain it healthily. To gain weight, don't do lots of cardio like running, because you will lose weight! don't eat junk food - the weight will be in fat! instead do workouts that build muscle tone. and every 3,500 calories consumed and not burned equals a pound, not 1000!(we learned this in health last week)

good luck & hope this helps!

I'm not sure how long it's going to take you, but I can say that gaining ten pounds of lean body weight in a month is very optimistic. You can gain ten pounds of fat in about a month though . . . maybe even two weeks. Good night!

every extra 1,000 calories consumed and not burned equals a lb. So how much do you want to eat and what kind of weight do you want to gain? Muscle will take longer ... fat is as easy and one, two, crispy creme!

The healthy weight is 2lbs per wk, 10lbs should be month or so to lose that weight. and that's if you stick to healthy eating habits and a good work out plan.
