Hebrews 2:9
But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
Those who accept the atonement will not taste death.
Jesus was resurrected he defeated death for all who accept the atonement.
John 3:16 ¶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Does this verse debunk Christianity because people still perish?
Jesus did return after his resurrection literally and brought his kingdom which we have by faith. He will return with his literal kingdom on the earth at his second coming his Millennial rule of the earth.

Absolutely amazing, Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, and Luke 9:27 all follow this statement with Jesus taking Peter, James and John into an high mountain several days later. There Jesus was transfigured and the disciples saw him in his glory. Elias and Moses also appeared, and the three disciples also heard the voice of God.
Did it dawn on you that his was the fulfillment of those scriptures, especially since the transfiguration followed them immediately?

The Muslims declare Jesus Christ replaced right into a prophet then they're asserting that what He says is genuine and from God. properly, Jesus DOES in actuality declare he's God many situations interior the Bible. Muslims says to the alternative, yet once you study the Bible then you definately would know, that definite Jesus does declare he's God. Their so-called Prophet Mohammed is a liar the two way. considering the fact that Mohammed consents with Jesus's teachings.Which makes Mohammed a liar, because of the fact he states that Jesus isn't God.

The apostle John was one of those who Jesus was speaking to at that time.
John spoke with Jesus again when he was imprisoned on Patmos. Much of Revelation is Jesus narrating to John, in fact. Also, John's visions in Revelation include Jesus on his throne in heaven, among other things (I won't list--read Revelation). So we know that at least one of those standing there spoke with Jesus again before his death.

how do you know He literally meant in that lifetime? you dont know that He just meant then. there is alot in the bible that is for this generation also. you bring this verse up but what bout the ones that have came true? like disobedient children, hearts grown cold, crazy weather, ppl leaving the faith (there's been plenty ppl i seen on here that said they believed but dont anymore) reminded me of the scripture saying there will be mockers saying "where is the promise coming" the world has gotten alot worse then when i was younger. that was also spoken of. explain to me why the world is worse if his return isnt true.

Your "crusade" to try to debunk Christianity tonight is really quite a pathetic attempt.
From your last post 20 minutes ago, you clearly have NO UNDERSTANDING of the bible. Anyone can pick and choose and retype.

when he said "there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom"
MAYBE HE MADE IMMORTAL PEOPLE!!!!! :O
Lol...I think it meant spiritual death, that some will believe forever, but some will lose faith.
I'm sorry...did the world just end 3 minutes ago? Just because the prophecies haven't come true doesn't mean they wont...

He meant that some would not die until they saw the increase and enlargement of the the church by the gospel.
It is where the gospel is powerfully preached, and cheerfully obeyed, there is where Christ is most gloriously in His kingdom. Some did live to see it.

Yes, a lot of Atheists and other faiths get that wrong like you just did.
Jesus was referring to the generation that saw the things that they were to see in the verses prior to what you brought our attention to.
So don't feel too bad about it.
