Simple . spend money and go learn law or hire a lawyer and pay him to advise you.
It will save you using the lame excuse of ignorance of the effects of excessive booze while driving. Like we all know that you don't drink and drive because every poster says that but then no poster tells you not to drive after a binge :)

You might also check your local library. They should have a copy of the Penal Code and the Traffic Code.

Despite what people say about lawyers and lawmakers common sense is a good guide.
If it seems like it's "wrong" it's probably illegal.
