A famous scientist has said "Evolution has been observed. It's just that it hasn't been observed while it was happening."
A statement like that, even from a prominent scientist, isn't it more faith than science?

I'm sorry, I forgot to give my source for this quote. It was Richard Dawkins in an interview with Bill Moyers on PBS, Dec. 3, 2004. In case some of you are not familiar with Richard Dawkins, I just want to say that he's not a Creationist.

Evolution, as the observance of the adaption of creatures within the species, has been observed.
Evolution, as the changing of one species into another has not been observed.
(A) Bio genesis, has not been observed.

Evolution, just like any religious belief about the origin of life, is speculation and best-guessing based on the facts present.
However, you should have specified what you meant by evolution. Nobody can deny natural selection--we do see it repeatedly. But macro-evolution (DNA changing to form new species) is a rarity, and virtually any change in the genetic structure of the creature serves as a deficit.
What this scientist is referring to is most likely the fossil record. In it, there have been found fossils of what are believed to be in-between animals, that prove that one animal evolved into another. These assumptions are also speculation and best-guesses; these could very well simply be extinct species that were somehow related to either the "ancestor" creature or the "evolved" creature.

There has NEVER been one species moving into another; not now, not in a laboratory, not in any archeologists findings..., only hypothesis and speculation and belief! Never a partially evolved anything! It is all SUPPOSITION and THEORY and total rejection of God's creation, and ABSURD! There is NO proof and no scientific evidence... The greatest lie and hoax in this world is that any creature has ever evolved..! There is adaptation everywhere, but that is NOT proof or evidence of actual evolving from one species to another. Get a grip..., and these supposed great leaps where species are supposed to have just not been found between the gaps is crazy! If it were true, it would be happening NOW and we would have clear-cut observable evidence. Isn't it amazing that the time periods are so tremendously long that no one can get a handle on this SSSLLLLOOOOOWWWW process, but we have to believe it by FAITH!!
Shut up! Some of their process is older than God! Don't you ALL know that an acorn makes an oak tree? A dog has puppies? Tomato seeds make tomato plants and grows tomatoes? You count on that EVERY day of your life, "like begets like", you harvest what you plant, it is UNIVERSAL LAW and has your entire life been based on anything else? NO! If you marry and have offspring, do you worry that one of yours will be a donkey? Of course not. That universal law alone tells you that NOTHING evolves into something else. How many generations back have you known in your family and is there any relative; howbeit no matter how weird; ever suspected that any of your family tree was less than human.., or more than? Nope and they may raise up or bend down in character, they are all still human and bi-peds! O yea, it has been so very long ago.., before history..., so we just have to accept it by faith? And you have a problem with believers in God?

Yes, it has.
What that scientist was saying is that the evidence of evolution has been observed. If you look at the geologic, archeologic, and even genetic evidence, you'll see the story of how evolution happened laid out before you. There are still a lot of details left to learn about it, but the evidence for the process is plentiful.
That scientist probably said that a long time ago, though, because we have directly seen evolution happening. The basic criteria of what is called "macro-evolution" is one species dividing into two species. The main criteria that divides species is their inability to successfully reproduce with each other. In short, the two species are unable to become one again because they are sexually incompatible.
The process of one species becoming two is called speciation. Speciation has been observed many times, in the lab and in nature. This is direct observation of evolution as it happens.

hmmm, we live in a house built in 1964... did you know the people weren't as tall then, so the counters a re shorter? This is a good thing, as I am short in the current day and age.
Did you know that a woman's average shoe size in the 50's was a five ... now it is an eight.
did you know that evolution can be observed in the stages the human fetus goes through?
Sounds like observation to me

the same exact thing could be said about chemical reactions, well until very recently. we make observations that are consistent with theoretical models of the process, this doesn't prove that the models are correct and nobody ever said that it did, but so far no one has proposed a better model. do you seriously doubt that chemical reactions occur too? or is your doubt restricted to science that conflicts with your beliefs?

Evolution is a religion in itself.
How can nothing be so smart as to create everything?
If you stare into nothingness long enough will you see it create something?
Doesn't everything have to be made by something smart enough to make it?
Did you know that no one is able to make a cell yet?
If we aren't able to make a living cell how can nothing make it?
And if we evolved from apes then why are there still apes around?
Evolution was created by an Atheist who wanted to disprove the existence of a divine creator.
But scientist are finding clues that God left behind for them to discover to prove HE is the creator of all.
Albert Einstein was one of them.
I don't know how something can evolve when dead things can't communicate with living things and tell them what they need to do to adapt.
I believe everything was already created to adapt the way it was meant to and everything was created the way it was meant to be.
Evolution is a religion,a religion of Atheists to disprove the existance of God.

Evolution is defined as a change in genetic frequencies over time. Therefore I have seen evolution in a petri dish of bacteria. Maybe a better question would be: Has anyone ever witnessed speciation?

Yeah, it has. An example would be a virus growing a resistance against antibiotics. This is natural selection by evolution. It evolved resistance.
