No its not wrong to be in love with a man twice your age. But, you are only 18. I know he has been wanting you for 3 years, but honey heres some news, all men crave 18 year olds. If he really loves you he'll wait longer until your 21 years old, when you are more of an adult. Im not saying you should not go with him, all Im saying is wait to you are 21, and if your mum approves of him, then you can do what you like. Just becoz he's been wanting you for 3 years, doesnt mean you have to go for him. Go with other guys your age and see how you go. Use the next 3 years to go out with other guys your age, and when you get to 21 and still want him, then honey, go for it.

Miss L. this guy sounds like a complete loser to this old man. If he was 35 and wanted to be with you at 15 he's either really immature or has some sick perversion of some kind. Christ he's old enough to be your father not your lover. If you were to get together with him I'm certain that a lot of friends would be very uncomfortable being around someone this age as a friend. Besides he met you through your mom's ex-boyfriend so obviously that is the age group he should be

You need to be extremely careful as you are young and immature in life as he is been in this world close to 20 yrs before you..

One thing I would suggest is that he is Loyal to you and wants to BE with you for Who you are and NOT because you will give him sex whenever he wants.

Just be careful !

If this man was after MY daughter at the age of 18, he would have No say in it. Just because being 18, you are young and immature in that the way the world works. I think if you were older and on your own more it would not be a problem.

If he's been wanting you since you were fifteen, that means he's been checking you out since he was at least 34...and that's just wrong. I think he's a pervert, and I think you are too young to go with him. I'm not even 18 yet and I think it's wrong! I actually like guys who are older...like 2 years older, not 20! I wouldn't do it. He could take advantage of you because you are so young, and he should have his own family by now but instead, he's been checking out teens...doesn't that tell you something? Molester? Pedafile? Pervert?!

My mother just happens to be 11 years younger than my father, but liking you at age fifteen thru to now, it seems he wants only what most men want. Young love? Sex with a younger gir? If your mother broke up with a man bc they weren't meant for eachother for some apparent reason, and this man happens to be his best friend.. maybe he isn't that right for you either. Good Luck!

well as long as you love each other I wouldn't see the deal but this sounds a little freaky that he wanted you since you were 15. Why isn't he with people his own age? Sounds like he has some insecurity issues and I wouldn't recommend seeing him

I don't think there's a problem with it as long as you long each other and are being mature. If you really love him love doesn't matter, but if you think about it, it'll be really hard in the future for you, your kids, etc. with your signifgant other having such a big age difference. But if your heart leads to him, I totally say to go for it.

I tend to like older guys anyways ;D
& Good luck.

Oh, my god. Somebody call the authorities. I see a molester prowling the neighborhood. So are you like the only chick in this town? And, are you sure this guy has been waiting for you to turn 18?

well im no lady --- i dont think that it is wrong --- as the saying goes -- love is blind --- while i would suggest waiting a few more years --- you do know your own mind and can make your decision based on how you feel --- best wishes to you both

That's close to illegal by just one year. He must be very immature or you're into finding a new father. It's very unhealthy unless both are well matured adults.
