They don't!

Studies have shown that for some people growth is slowed while taking medication for ADD or ADHD; however, once the medication is stopped, growth continues and person reaches full height. Those who can't stop the medication due to the severity of their disorder, also reach full height...just at a much slower rate. So, the interference with growth is only temporary.

If you want to know how tall you will be, your best bet is to ask your family doctor or pediatrician. Most doctors will measure a child's femur around the age of 2 and can tell the child's adult height with a great deal of accuracy.
