i was wondering if anyone knew what tone judges look for during the interview for junior miss pageants (12th graders)

i've heard so many different things---some say a very formal tone, some say a natural, happy tone, some say bubbly, the list goes on and on

does anyone have an idea because i don't!

thanks :)

To be genuine, well-poised and well-spoken, not easily flustered, and to avoid saying "um" "ah" and "like" a lot. Be yourself, upbeat but not too perky. Don't be phony. Don't be too well-rehearsed. Try to relax and have fun. Of the choices you listed, I'd suggest a natural, happy tone. Watch the Miss America pageant for ideas: they're the best.

I'd have to go with bubbly and positive. And a great big smile, of course!! And real. Good luck, kiddo!! :)
