You do not have to be a virgin, or to have lived a sinless life. Various orders may have minimum age requirements. What you do need to have is a calling from God to that vocation. The specific order you are interested in will help you take steps to discern whether you do have a true vocation. In some cases they may discern that you do have a true vocation, but that some order other than their own would better suit your particular talents and interests. Incidentally, a promiscuous life is not "normal". Living within God's plan is "normal" for a human being. But such spiritual abnormalities in a person's earlier life will not necessarily pose an obstacle to a later religious vocation. God calls whomever He desires.
