Well, honestly there isn't the BEST running shoe at all. You will need to go be sized at a respectible shoe store and ask what shoe they think you should look into. Also, depending on what you're looking for, could also affect your brand choice. If you're going to be running long distance, I would stay away from Nike an especially their shox. From experience, I would refer you to look at asics, new balance, puma, any of those are very respectible, durable shoes that to me are comfortable. These may not be the comfort or form-fitting type shoe that you require though. Hope I helped and good luck!

the best running shoes ever are nike frees...they fit great from the first time you wear them...you won't get blisters or other uncomfortable problems...the surface that you run on doesn't matter...not matter what, with the help of the shoes, you'll adjust and adapt to any environment....and as an added bonus, they're extremely light and look pretty cool

every runner has their favorite shoe, what you need to do is go to a running store and have them analyze your gate and recommend a shoe for you. That way you will have the best shoe that works for you. One that works for your running friends may not work for you

Brooks, Asics, or Saucony. You can't go wrong with any of these - I also have at least one pair of each. They are each highly recommended by a very well-known, specialty running store that I frequent.

i really like asics but everyone has their personal faves and everyones just different, so go to like a dick ponds or a good running store and have someone help you get shoes that are good for your foot and ones you like

id have to say brooks, but everones different so just pick the one you like best, probably best from a local running store, no matter what brand it is.

Asics gel. They are the best!!!! replace every 500 miles.

i also vote asics gel. they are EXTREMELY comfortable. new balance is bad ether. but i would stick to asics because they last long and are comfortable. they give good support and traction too.
