There are a few real keys to dog training, whether you are trying to train your dog to come when called, sit, stop barking or any other behavior. Understanding their importance is critical to achieving rapid results that are long lasting and help develop the bond between you and your dog. Read more here https://biturl.im/aU8Fd

The first is simple; you must win your dogs mind. If you don't achieve this first then you will be struggling the all the way. When I talk about winning your dogs mind what I really mean is that your dog looks to you for all the decisions. Before you do anything else watch one of the amazing video sites that show you the 5 Golden rules to establishing yourself as the pack leader. If you aren't putting these in place then you are setting yourself up to fail. Just at the crucial point where you really want your dog to listen they will go and do their own thing. For sure your dog may play ball occasionally or even most of the time, you may even have a dog that is obedient 99% of the time, however if you want a dog who always listens to you and does as you ask then you need to win your dogs mind.

The second key to success is to motivate your dog. It is really important that you discover what it is that your dog enjoys both in terms of exercise and play but also in terms of a reward. If you can make the experience enjoyable then you will both achieve more and look forward to training.

Some dogs love to fetch, others love agility, and other dogs simply love obedience training, or swimming out into water and retrieve. At least to start with find out what your dogs love is and help them develop this, what I am saying is work with your dog. The other point to recognize is to make training enjoyable reward your dog.

Could she have injured it? I had a dog who jumped off the bed,and hurt his neck.He was in horrible pain for weeks, and had to be sedated and given anti-inflammatory drugs, and we had to put moist, hot packs on his neck several times a day to relax the muscles.I would take the dog back and demand at least an x-ray;this would show if there was any damage to the spinal column. If nothing shows, then it is probably muscular or an inflamed nerve.Prednisone might be better than the Rimadyl if that's the case, but you cannot give the two together. Good luck.

You need to go to a different vet ASAP!!! It sounds like something serious is going on and another vets opinion will really be helpful at determining what is going on. Did the other vet take x-rays?? If not they need to be done and there are other places you can go that are cheaper than what the other vet is quoting you. A dog is never to young to have neck issues because they could have gotten an injury at any point and time. Again, see a different vet. Good luck, I hope that you get the answers you are looking for and that your pup gets better very soon. How miserable she must feel. My heart goes out to her.

Honestly, an untrained dog can be a real pain - a risk to himself, his owner and to other people and animals. Owning an undisciplined dog may result to:
- Destruction to your home
- Social isolation
- Accidents
- Injuries
- Legal claims against you
- Stress to all concerned
- The dog being unwanted

Canines that always get their own way will believe that life revolves around them and for that reason they must be important. Since dogs are looking for controlling different resources than humans, their bid for power usually goes undetected until it’s too late. Obedience and house training your dog and ensuring he’s not raised to a top position inside the home will keep your relationship with him well-balanced in your favor, as it must be for satisfaction all round.

yeah, this is tough...it happened to my mini pinscher too... they diagnosed her with cervical disc disease...think of the top discs of the spine like jelly doughnuts that loose their filling...they hit and rub causing pain....

nothing was helping her....they were close to giving me the option of neck surgery which may not help or kill her, or to put her down....so, mama did some tough love...STRICT confinement....little girl didn't get let out of either the bathroom or her pen for about 2 months... She was first on predinsone, a steroid, which didn't help, then i put her on rimadyl and a muscle relaxer called Robaxin...finally....she's better...for almost 2 years now....she's still on the rimadyl due to arthritis and the disc problem...but she's good! Maybe you need to give her time...and i mean...NO ACTIVITY AT ALL - no playing - no nothing!!! I'm serious, you are going to make it worse...... It sounds mean...but what's the alternative? Sot sure what tramadol is but you may want to ask if they can fill a muscle relaxer rx for you...good luck!!!

Maybe take her to a different vet? Sometimes there are hidden problems. It might be more expensive, but taker her to a larger vet place. They will run a few tests that may be expensive, but you need to find out exctly what is wrong. I had a dog that two years ago had back issues. I took him to the local vet and they said he'd be fine, it'd go away. Wel, it got worse and worse, so I took him back. They said again he'd be fine, no meds. I was getting upset as it only got worse, so I took him to a larger, more expensive hospital. He had severe back problems and had to be put to sleep. It was a terrible time for me, so please don't let this happen!

Has he xrayed her??? She may have injured a disc in her back or neck. Has he tried muscle relaxers? Muscle spasms can be extremely painful. If it is getting worse on Rimadyl and Trammadol, something else needs to be done. $2000 sounds ridiculous for a set of xrays, even with sedation. I'd find another vet who can see her right away.
